Good attitude.I prefer Wuxia with romance, intrigue,, good ending- All the good things in lifeand I do like Yuke in Heavenly sword. I think her part in Princess Weiyoung was a disadvantage but she was very cute in HS.

Yes! I would like to see his face too but he did think ‘ it’s not her, it’s not her, before he stood up but such a lame excuse at a very critical moment. 🤣🤣🤣

Nirvana in fire has a very, very bad ending. And there is also a little romance. But the ending ruined my whole day after investing so much time. If you are the type not depressed by bad endings, then watch Goodbye My Princess for a terrible ending as well! 🤣. I’m a sucker for good endings as I want to feel good after watching 40 episodes. As to why there are badreviews for Heavenly sword, it’s from people who should not have watched the drama. The genre is not suitable for them - a misfit. I usually read reviews of many and if there are more people who give good reviews than bad, then I will watch and decide for myself. Now I am curious about the bad reviews on HS- will have to look and see and maybe put in my 2 cents worth 🤣

I think that’s where the drama differs from the novel. Someone has to save the white hair one as he has only 1 month to live. Since there is no Juiwei in the drama, it had to be Han Pu as he has medical skills. It’s possible he came on his own and not at the request of BFX but we will know soon.

I do love Heavenly Sword and Dragon slaying saber but why do you say BFX is brainless?

War was inevitable because HC wants to rule the war. Ultimately, it was always between the Jizhou and Yongzhou, HC and FLX. Qingzhou and BFX are peace loving and just want to defend their country

They have to give you villains to hate - Bailli, King Yong, FJ. 🤣

It has political intrigue, a little romance and Wuxia, but in my opinion, AAA rating.

I think he will play the role of jiuwei in the novel because of his medical skills.

I agree with you but I think the drama is great. With over 2 billion views, many think so as well. There will always be those who won’t like this type of drama or the actors or actress. I have watch many c and k dramas this year and only a few allowed me to watch without some boredom and this is one of them. I say just watch the drama for entertainment’s sake and if you want to invest more into it, read the novel after the drama ends.

I too like the drama better. The novel dragged in many parts but I can tell the author likes the FLX character - example is the noodle scene with Feng xiwu. Had the sound of the zither not come just in time., we would have hated him. It was important enough for the author to touch on this in the epilogue. From other’s postings of FLX’s character, I thought he’d be more ruthless and cruel in the novel, but I didn’t think that was so. Certainly a man with flaws and scars and shaped by his life and death upbringing. I read the novel to get more insights into the drama and I’m glad I did but I was upset at myself for a day after I read how the ending unfolded. But the upset didn’t last long 🤣 as I was satisfied with the ending.

I believe the reason for the politics is to give depth toHFX’s character, what made him the way he is. In the novel, his upbringing was just talked about. It would have made the drama too wordy if they followed the novel too closely,so I’m glad they had it acted out in the form of Yongzhou politics. In MHO, this drama had the right mix of Wuxia, war scenes, intrigue, Romance and politics. Without the politics, HFC is just a Wuxia hero but his other identity is the prince FLX.

I enjoyed snow sword stride. One of my fav dramas this year.

I have to tell you the version in the novel because it is so funny. Instead of a chess game, there was a banquet to choose the consort. HCR was about to choose HFX when he suddenly stood up and said ‘ I suddenly remember something I have to do’ and left to the surprise of everyone. Just like that! 🤣🤣🤣. You can imagine HCR’s and everybody’s face and shock.

Yes, I feel the same. In the novel, her brother was actually a cousin but they had such a loving relationship. He died at age 17 when BFX was 15. He taught her everything he knew and supported her decision to leave home for Jianghu.
Her father did too.

Because the sons killed them first🤣
