Omegaverse is basically a fantasy setting where people have three different biological genders/castes, Alpha, Beta and Omega, where omegas often can get pregnant even when they are men. Alphas are dominant and aggressive and omegas are weak and submissive and usually they also tend to go into inconvenient heats from time to time. Betas are usually like ordinary humans. There are lots of other elements and not every omegaverse story follows the same tropes.
(I was saying back when Cutie Pie aired that it looked like an omegaverse story but without spelling it out. To me the dynamics only made sense in that context.)
It's based on some very old and long since debunked research on wolf pack structure, wolf packs don't actually work like that at all, but the ideas took root in fandom and turned up in fanfiction, and now it's a subgenre of its own.
I kind of lost it when my country's national anthem started playing as BGM 🤣...I mean, sure, it's in the public domain, but STILL, jeez
I didn't even manage to finish the first episode, this was so bad. How on earth does this have a rating of 8.9?? Because of the NC scenes? They weren't even all that good... I guess I'm not in the target audience for this, I need better acting and story and better scripted/directed scenes to feel convinced. This just felt 100% gratuitous to me, and if that's okay with you, go ahead, but if not, don't bother.
The iQiyi version is 48 minutes. That's 48 minutes of your life that you will never get back. You have been warned
It was seriously that bad. They did them dirty with this. I don't usually rate single episodes, but the only reason why I managed to finish the entire episode was because I was watching with other people in a watchparty and we could all sit there and go "wtf" at each other.
I loved this drama so much. Zhao Lusi is amazing, when she plays 16 you really think she's that age, and when…
I just realised that the child actress played the young version of Zhao Lusi's character in Who Rules the World as well! She's really a very good match for her visually!

I loved this drama so much. Zhao Lusi is amazing, when she plays 16 you really think she's that age, and when we see her two years later in the story she really seems two years older. The child actress for when she's even younger is also amazing. This is swoonworthy and so well written and acted. For anyone concerned about the age gap due to some comments below: THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO GROOMING GOING ON. In fact, the ML is a super green flag from the very beginning even though he has no idea about her feelings (or has any romantic feelings for her in return) until years later when she's an adult. And Chen Zheyuan's portrayal of her crush is absolutely convincing, you never once wonder why she would have those feelings for him. Instead it's a story about a girl whose initial (unrequited) puppy crush lingers on and matures into real, lasting love as she grows up. Don't miss out on this because this is a total gem.
