Can someone who's finished this tell me if PMY and GKP have any chemistry in the show? I keep seeing clips on instagram and I swear I just don't feel the chemistry at all
Unless his ex girlfriend starts acting crazy telling him "i will have you again no matter what" which is something exes do a lot in kdramas, I am not going to say anything bad about her.
He's the one at fault here. He literally abandoned her, and she deserves closure. He needs to take responsibility for his actions.
The movie was well done. Well acted, 85% of it was a good story, it's not bad, even with the ending it has.
The problem I have with this ending is that it feels like a demonstration of a larger problem I see nowadays, both in western and eastern media: happy endings and happy stories are seen as lesser than stories with sad endings.
The other problem I have with this ending is that it's not something new, it didn't bring anything to the table. It feels done for the sake of not giving us a happy ending. It feels half-baked and unnecessary, I feel like all of us who chose to watch this movie did so because we assumed it had a happy ending.
What a bummer, truly. In my mind they met again and got married and lived happily ever after, because that's what they deserved.
Just like in real life we dnt want any 3rd person between two people who love each other
dude that's so true, i think that's the most annoying part about triangles, it's never two people liking a person who also likes them both, it's two people who like each other and a third one who has no chance just being annoying
Dramas are just better when there's no love triangle. This is super sweet and cute tbh, not complicated at all and the characters are all very likeable
Heyyy I have a doubt pls let me know if mi jung and mr gu are together in the end.. I really wanna know this
Yes and no? Like it's implied they will be together but Mr. Gu had a lot of things he needed to take care of before truly trying anything serious with her
Dammit, the second it ended I was a bit upset we didn't get an ending that was neatly closed with a pretty bow, but then I realized of course we didn't, this drama did a very good job of portraying the very real lives of 3 siblings and it ended perfectly in tune with that. It's a very good drama, but you definitely need to be in a certain mood/enjoy this type of drama to like it. And it's definitely a drama to binge because the story is a very slow burn type of story, but if you have all episodes available it doesn't matter at all.
Back in 2017, I remember falling in love with Son Seok Koo's character in Sense8 (an absolute goddamn dreamboat if you haven't watched the show, and his chemistry with Bae Doona is off the charts like you wouldn't believe) and going to search for anything else he may have done and there was NOTHING. I didn't really check on him again after that, but fast forward 5 years later, I watched a teaser for this drama and thought "this man is so beautiful but where do I know him from?". It was such a pleasant surprise to see him thriving as a male lead like this, and I can't wait until this drama finishes airing so I can watch it!
Yall, the show can be really good and filled with hardworking people in the cast and crew and simultaneously have someone who got away with "secretly" doing something vile. And I say got away because the episode already aired with the names in it, and even though A LOT of us didn't pick up on it, it doesn't make it any less shitty. This won't make me stop watching or liking the show, but it sure as hell made me go "what the actual fuck", because it IS a pretty messed up thing to do. I can't judge the fans who are pissed about it.
Man this episode left me an emotional wreck. I knew about "comfort women" (what a gross term) but very little, just the gist of it and Japan's government refusal to acknowledge what happened and to offer reparations and even a formal, real apology to them— but this really shone a light on it that made me feel like I now I actually know more than I did before.
I really wish it was a thing of the past, but nowadays in war zones, this still happens. I am glad this drama took the time to dedicate a whole episode to it, especially considering how many of us are international viewers and know very little about the topic. I think they did a very good job providing the basic information about what happened so that we would know more about it. And honestly even though it made me furious, I am also glad they took the time to show not only in the past how they were shunned, but that it's also something that happens in the present. One would think that's impossible, how could anyone doubt that they were victims and survivors of such a hideous crime? But of course it happens, and it even happens to victims and survivors of sexual assault to this day (the drama even made an episode about that).
Hopefully we all do like Joon Woong and do our part to make sure we don't allow people who want a revised version of history to change the narrative, and reach a time when we can actually hold all the people responsible for these things accountable.
(Sorry about the ramble, this episode just really got to me.)
What if I'm here for the writer? I watched her dramas from Dream High and loved them, so I was waiting for this.…
Then it's very possible you'll enjoy it! I personally really did, even if my first motivation to watch was Nam Joo Hyuk, I ended up really liking the story overall :)
I don't think it was my cup of tea but I finished it because it was only 6 eps. I really loved the acting by the 3 main leads, and I hope Hwang In Youp gets to play a sweet guy again in another drama, especially a romcom with him as the lead. I know he does bad boys well but he shines as a cutie as well. I'd love to see more of that.
I think it's a stress injury he did to himself by scratching his neck when things got too much for him, which was very often. That's how I interpreted it at least.

Just my 2 cents.
