acting was pretty bad from the male leads this ep...the scenes where they were "fighting" were honestly kinda cringe, they tried to make it seem like there was sexual tension but it was mainly just tue randomly staring at ake's lips lmao. he didn't even look angry. hopefully it gets better with the wednesday episodes; the plot for those seemed really interesting, and based off the trailer, the lead actors can actually show emotion. terrific! for reference, that's the green-themed one with the playboy character haha. not even going to check this as a spoiler so i can warn those interested in the series to consider just waiting a couple weeks for better episodes to come out. i dont want the tuesday story to ruin the entire series for people because i'm sure they have a lot more in store, especially with perth, lay, and yoon's episode.
It's just fiction. It doesn't need be a life lesson. Some people just watch fiction to be entertained, you know?…
the point is that having unrealistic lgbt dramas is a disservice to lgbt people. the bl industry is really messed up to so that needs to come too light. no one ever said this has to be a life lesson or that this won't be entertaining. but having a bl drama where the characters are homophobic, condone sexual assault, suddenly "turn gay" for one person and one person only, etc...it's just disgusting that lgbt people are represented like this when we're already oppressed every day. since some people romanticize these concepts, we need more realistic dramas that don't do things like perpetuate rape culture and use assault as a plot device to get the male leads together. we need better representation for the lgbt community. sorry that doesn't entertain you.
ngl i wasn't a fan of insoo's acting in wish you. im hoping he improved for this one? given that he's acting alongside sejin and euisoo who are very talented actors. this drama seems to be very high budget for a korean lgbt drama as well, and if his acting is subpar compared to the other two, that would really be a pity...anyway, wishing the best for him and this drama!
exactly. they're really trying their best in such a conservative country, so dropping shows just like that doesn't really make the situation better. in fact, they need all the support they can get so they can make episodes longer in the future! even ones other than wyel and to my star can be really fun to watch—you just can't go in expecting mainstream-kdrama-level character development and production. there just aren't enough funds and the runtime is too short.
and to make it even worse, it's ex by death :(( im ready to cry my eyeballs out for their episode + the wednesday…
not sure, but honestly i wouldn’t care what the pairing is as long as the show is good and they portray their characters well. maybe they just thought yoon was more suited to that particular role than perth. who knows? i’m sure their reason was well-founded though.
here are the tags: Slap Kiss, Possessive ML, Arranged Marriage, Kidnapping, Revenge, Abusive ML, Rape i would urge those with these triggers not to watch this. how the hell are there that many terrible things in one drama???
"He tells Bow's father that he has slept with his daughter, which makes the older man marry Bow off to Tos in order to protect his daughter's virtue." wtf????? definitely not watching this drama...
I think the actor playing Aoey is doing a fine job. He’s conflicted. He can’t really be himself at home or…
i agree! i think a lot of people that are complaining about his acting don't quite know what gay people go through and what aoey is going through—he's a really complex character so it might be difficult to see it through the screen. the actor is definitely getting better and better as the show goes on! also, for future reference, don't refer to gay people as "gays" because it's kind of offensive. and I don't mean this in a rude way at all! it's just that i'm gay and people use it a lot to dehumanize us, so i just wanted to let you know :)
I mean I don't mind me that many hot couples, but a world without us women must be a really sad one to live in.
yeah i dont think there was a single female character in any of the trailers except for the ones in the background LOL i feel like they don't realize that you can show a healthy romance between men with female characters present TT
WKX actually looks so beautiful with white hair TT he looked so heavenly in episode 37 (the special ep) when he was looking at ZZS i highkey felt like i was intruding on their moment it was PURE AND SWEET
yep thats true the main couple are not what you would call bromance cause you can see in their eyes its mre than…
i'd say they show their affection through many many references to ancient poems (WKX always flirts with these lines and it's really clever and sweet), physical touch, tone of voice, and just generally how they act around each other. they're definitely not super physically clingy since that's just not how they are lol and this isn't a modern setting drama but they'll support each other during vulnerable times (ex. hold hands, carry each other, hug, etc). it's really heartwarming.
Did wkx being honest & tell him the truth before anyone else did? Hearing from your story side & others can be…
the point is that ZCL is very familiar with how scheming and manipulative the sects are. he should know better than to believe everything they say, especially when they're as big as "WKX killing his family." WKX didn't, but ZCL still believed it. this isn't a different side of the story, it's just a lie. even when ZZS, his master whom he admired greatly, stood by WKX side and asked ZCL to trust him, he still tried to kill WKX. it's not as simple as WKX not being honest. it has to do with how ZCL fell right into ZJ's trap.
