laughed out loud at this. you're right, i have zero idea how or why anything led to anything in these two episodes. i guess in the world of y-destiny, things happen just 'cause, under the excuse of "the runtime is too short." so, yes, it's only 2 eps, but i think it's sad that there isn't a coherent storyline. it's not that it suddenly felt rushed—it has to actually have a plot for that to happen. it's just that it was bad. i don't know how else to say it. but as you pointed out, even movies have elaborate stories or even multiple stories that could span decades. so why couldn't the y-destiny production team figure it out? and why is the acting so sub-par? oh, well. here's to hoping the later episodes will be better.

i know about the age differences, i think i was just being dumb, lol sorry about that!! for some reason i thought that when they said 18, they were talking about international age, im not sure why. also the fact that he's in his 17 year old body makes it even more disturbing that aerin liked him...that's pedophilia. at least dajung only saw him as a kid when she didn't know he was daeyoung

from what i can tell, in this drama they are using mandarin chinese but you can tell that they're from taiwan due to slight differences in their accents and certain words they use in comparison to mainland china's mandarin chinese. my taiwanese friends usually just say they speak mandarin chinese since people from taiwan and mainland china that speak mandarin can understand each other just fine. i think saying "taiwanese" would be too general since you don't know what type of chinese it is (ex. wu, cantonese, mandarin, etc.). in my opinion, saying mandarin chinese is more specific :)

if you're not a fan of romance, then why are you watching this drama? i don't mean this in a rude way at all, but since this is a rom-com, it's not your preferred genre and you definitely wouldn't like it. there are lots of other thai dramas that dont focus too much on romance! and because of censorship in china, there are a lot of bromance dramas. i'm not saying it's a good idea to support censorship, but i think those would be more to your taste! there are many bromance dramas coming out in china later this year and a couple good ones have already come out! let me know if you're interested and i can tell you the titles :)

one of the first mainstream kdramas with lgbt representation throughout the show! i definitely recommend this drama to everyone. every character was really well developed and no story got left behind. even when the show wasn't focused on the FL and ML i was super interested in all of the other scenes because all of the characters were unique and interesting. if you don't like this drama then it's probably because you're used to watching more...dramatic (?) dramas i think? nothing wrong with that, but this drama is so realistic and awkward that it may be too boring for some, but i think that's the beauty of it. the characters were bumbling at some times and all had their fair share of mistakes but that's what made it so relatable. it's truly such a heartfelt drama that honestly helps you with your self confidence as you see them find their way, independence, dreams, etc. it deals with assault, abuse, coming out, misogyny in the workplace, bribery, chronic disease, k-idol life, corruption in politics, how complicated family relations can be, etc. there's something in it for everyone! there are characters of all ages, genders, sexualities, social classes, etc. don't drop it after the first couple episodes. persist and it'll definitely be worth it. :))

honestly i've already blocked this episode out of my mind. i'm sure the next episode will be better since the actors would've had more time to get comfortable with each other and immerse themselves in their roles more.
and also, i totally get how you feel about the actor for Tue. i don't like his acting at all, but dang, i cant help but like him for his smile...

i agree. the characters seem pretty 2D right now so i don't feel anything when they fight, they just seem like jerks as you said. i don't see how either of them could ever be seen as tsundere because they just don't have any depth. it's a pity! but i really do think it'll get better since there are more experienced characters in later episodes. i didn't want to talk about the pacing of the episode itself snd airing strategy since that's an issue with the production/script/marketing, so the only thing i'll comment on is the acting because they could've saved the weak storyline if they were better actors. i don't need to watch more than this first ep to know that the tuesday boys aren't going to do much better in the next ep. the potential is clearly lost :(
