I agree! And yes, he's a Catholic priest. The character gives me totally creepy vibes. 🤔 ...but that might be…
I know MANY Catholics who absolutely have 😬 but I am with you in the ick. But I, also could NEVER understand having a crush on a teacher, so it's definitely a me thing 😅
Ep 3; Seems a bit (and by bit I mean very) hypocritical that an Obstetrician/Gynaecologist is making a fuss about being poked at with a sample stick! 🙄
I'm writing this again, for clarity. This is NOT a NEWS Report. This is an EDITORIAL, expressing the opinions of the author, Lily Alice. Please read it with that in mind.
""scenes that objectify women" Its a tv show, maybe the same people who are complaining about it should focus…
I agree with your first comment, but you have unfortunately crossed a line here. Money DOES NOT compensate for abuse. Blaming these victims with the idea that they chose their career and the money, is justifying that abuse. A rational person expects to be able to go to work, ANY WORK and not suffer abuse. The abusive behaviour is what needs to stop. Nothing else actually needs to change, except that. Stop being violent, stop being abusive, stop being coervice... I'm really hoping you were just being reactive after being challenged and do actually have some empathy and compassion, as your first comment would suggest.
The themes in ep3 are impressive for a Kdrama romcom.
It's a pretty realistic portayal of the cold hard fact; when it comes to family violence, no-one is coming to save you. And it's a pretty good show of how empathy is worth sh*t if you don't have compassion. (I.e choosing to act upon your empathy to help someone else). Standing by and doing nothing whilst someone suffers injustice (of any kind) makes you an accessory to the perpetrators.
I LOVE how she holds her brother to account for this and directly questions his friend about his values. Loyalty to your mates, versus, empathy, compassion and respect! Wow!
I always use the slow but sure principle in my life. I like to savor the moment and don't like to rush. That's…
You are very wise! I personally just don't have the focus to manage that! Which happens to be one of the reasons why I too love romcoms! Especially slow burn 🔥
"Faction" SERIOUSLY!? You're trying to change the meaning of actual words now?! A faction is a pretty significant…
And don't get me started on the excessive editorialising ....the series contains multiple explicit scenes that feel abrupt and out of place...vulgar and filthy...
This article should be clearly identified for what it is. An Editorial.
"Faction" SERIOUSLY!? You're trying to change the meaning of actual words now?! A faction is a pretty significant political term, already in common usage. There's a phrase that already exists for fact+fiction, which you used in this very article - historical fiction.
Came here after noticing a bit of review bombing... and the comments are more puzzling than anything! •Comparisons with Game of Thrones?! Don't let the 'tudor times' fallacy get you. It is COMPLETELY made up, full blown High Fantasy - if nothing else, the dragons should give it away🙄 Queen Woo is based on (albeit they admit heavily fictionalised) actual historical events. What possible comparison can you make, aside from it containing people?!? • Complaints about nudity, sex scenes and the pursuit of pleasure are supposedly abhorrent, but the presumed (it's a regicide and a coup) ongoing violence is ok?!? I will never understand how people can cry horror at one, and not even be concerned by the other.
I will await its release on Prime and Viu and hopefully avoid the vitriol.
The character gives me totally creepy vibes. 🤔 ...but that might be my own bias 😬
🤔 🤨why is it that so many get upset by an age-gap >3-5 years between couples, but never complain about the unrealistic ages of parents in dramas?!
I'm really hoping you were just being reactive after being challenged and do actually have some empathy and compassion, as your first comment would suggest.

Wow!
Every culture surely does have something that other cultures will find challenging 😬
There's a great editorial about this exact topic, published earlier this year.
