Netflix Oceania from today. BUT I really hope the first 5 minutes isn't an indication of the whole show. The simplistic and shockingly generalised representations of 'brain types' (e.g. hypersexualised) under the banner of neuroscience 🤔 Actually is just embarrassing. Did they do ANY research? Or are we meant to just accept all of this hokum pseudo-science as a comedic trope?
Trauma can be an irrational fear of something triggered by a bad event or something you cannot overcome making…
I totally respect your comments. The semantics of 'therapy' language are very much in a transition at the moment. It's no longer just in the domain of clinics - it's in everday lexicon. I can't tell you how many times I've heard 'intrusive thoughts' on youtube, let alone 'narcissist'. It's great that people are discussing the meanings of trauma. But translation is always one of the underlying complications here on MDL

I agree too. I find it frustrating that 'disordered eating' is generally represented by obesity, in Kdramas (and elsewhere); but the opposite end of the scale (sorry for the tasteless pun) is as much of an issue - anorexia nervosa and bulimia rates are serious and concerning in SK. It's a relief to see this show take a more measured view and portray a subtly broader story.

But really, I hope you had an awesome time!
