40 eps is pretty common in Cdramas. They generally have a slower pace, usually to allow character development or redemption. IMO this drama's 40 eps, are worth it. I never wanted it to end.

And I mean compassion, not empathy. He doesn't just feel what someone else is feeling, He thinks about what they are feeling and then does something about it. He makes that choice, which takes a lot of courage.
Pu Yi Yong has entered my list of Favourite Characters of all time. He is NOT simple. He reminds me a lot of Cal from East of Eden (the Steinbeck novel, not the KDrama). Pu Yi Yong lives under the burden of everyone else's assumptions and categorisations. But he has an incredible insight into human emotions, and a deep compassion for them, even when he can't relate to them.

Agree. But for me it's the ambient sounds (birds, traffic, doors etc.,) that are NOT helping my very distractable brain.
