I did think it was a foreshadowing when TY said that but then again, he is projecting his own issues with trust too. I like YH’s attitude in general - she understands people cannot be infallible but she does her part anyways. She is also smart in that even though she denied it when TY said how her sect elder should be aware of how the spirits were being targeted, she still entertained the thought that he might be the one to put the seal on her that prevents her from opening her mind’s eye to access her powers. That in itself gives me hope that she will be able to deal whatever gets thrown at her/them.

Also, reading your comment, I really hope they show SY’s back story! I am curious to know how she met Musheng and how Musheng met the fox princess etc!

Yes, I can see how he would have thought himself in love with SY considering who he is as a person! Even in the midst of his hurt, he took care of other people (pretending to be the old woman’s grandson, how he treated YanHui when he first met her, etc)…truly so kindhearted! I can also imagine what trickery SY might have resorted to to get TY to fall in love with her! Such a wicked woman!! I am glad she atleast showed him the kindness trying to kill him before they were married and not after, and doing something even more despicable like drugging him on the first night or something 😞

I’ve learnt to keep an open mind about endings and just go with the flow of the story 😀 I don’t see many xianxia dramas nowadays with the classic “happy ending” where everyone is together with a proper epilogue etc so I have stopped expecting it too! Helps me stay with the story and the characters rather than focusing on an ending that doesn’t work with the story as the writer intended it 😊😊 And for everything else, there’s always fanfiction LOL 😂

Okay I have a super soft spot for female characters who take care of the strong male characters when they’re at their most vulnerable and this is hitting all the spots for me 😍 You can see how Tian Yao is slowly opening up his heart to Yan Hui. She knows how depely he’s been hurt and the way she’s careful with his feelings and still standing her ground and showing him it’s okay to trust again is so lovely! I hope they always find their way back to each other no matter what happens around them.

Also, I am so damn curious about Bai Xiao Sheng and his dimples!!!!! So damn mysterious! 👀

It makes me think of how Yan Dan stabs Ying Yuan to kill off his mortal body. I get the feeling that it’s something like that maybe?

I can completely understand why YanHui’s heart rate would go berserk everytime he trains those intensely beautiful eyes on her 😅😅

I feel the same way actually 🙂 I am eagerly looking forward to the next episode and am excited to see how it progresses. I miss TSL and the excitement it gave me cos of the relationship between the leads and feel happy BFTB is giving me some of those feels ☺️
