Okay I could feel my heart beating out of my chest at the beginning of ep 10. Like starting an episode off that happy made me wait for the other shoe to drop! 😅😅😅 Glad it ended well
Honestly!!!! I’m on ep4 ans it is such a ride 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love Dr Kim as the hot, supportive acquaintance…
Yeah, the husband’s reactions honestly takes the cake. When his gf says Dr Kim is good looking and he’s all salty and “Oh is this what’s considered handsome nowadays?”
I love how the supposed SML is always framed as the ML in his scenes, like he gets all the cool scenes. First…
The leather and those long legs! 😱🫣🔥 I love that they chose such a visually pleasing actor and gave him such classic and tropey Mills&Boon characteristics to portray the hot, supportive SML who is constantly on the FL’s side of the ring. Like, a literal sparring ring with the way she and the husband are going at it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I can almost see him rubbing her shoulders and asking her to spit out the water and tightening her gloves while giving her pointers on how to fight dirty and whispering in her ears to hit the husband in his nuts if she needs to to win the fight while looking hot af and having most of the women and some men in the audience swooning over him 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Honestly!!!! I’m on ep4 ans it is such a ride 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love Dr Kim as the hot, supportive acquaintance…
I am not keen on or expect her to have a romantic relationship with him but I love love love how supportive he is and that is exactly what she needs right now. Such a boost to her ego! 😀😀
OMG! This drama is hilarious🤣, so far I am enjoying it tremendously👍
Honestly!!!! I’m on ep4 ans it is such a ride 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love Dr Kim as the hot, supportive acquaintance who I hope will become a good friend 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 He’s such a mood! The way he settled in to hear her answer when she was asked about her husband 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
For me they deserve each other, neither of them deserve the world, they are both highly flawed characters and…
I like the dichotomy of how they both are supposedly on opposite ends of the stereotypical good-evil spectrum (one is a devil and the other is an immortal/heavenly being), and yet they are both so flawed. Also, how they’ve made TTJ appear more ‘white’ with the constant portrayals of him being ‘good’ (or trying to be) and YXW more ‘black’ with the way she shows no mercy, which kind of balances the score. I empathize with both of them and like you rightly said, they will continue to descend into the worst versions of themselves until one of them can step away from this constant cycle of toxicity and realise that they deserve better.
This is actually such a good study in real human relationships where people get so caught up with crucifying the other person for all their faults that they are not able to look inward and try to figure themselves out first. Here, it’s understandable that TTJ lacks that ability as he was born without the ability to feel emotions and all the relationships he saw emulated around him were filled with betrayal and hatred etc. I have to admit that he is trying his best despite that. YXW on the other hand is so focussed on completing her quest that she cannot stop and think that maybe her past experiences /trauma are what’s triggering her reactions to all the perceived ‘evil’ from TTJ. I feel for them both 💜
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Like that scene in The Untamed where Wei Ying was being treated by Lan Wangji and there was…
Yeah 🤣🤣🤣 Rewatches of my fav dramas are always fun cos I can step back from the story and characters and emotions and look out for these things. Wasn’t there a Coke can or bottle or something in one of them?
I 100% support her Killing TTJ bcz she has her reasons / Mission... But What I don't like about her character…
The constant misunderstanding and lack of communication is damn frustrating. But then, I also think it could be because they are both such traumatized characters that it becomes hard for them to look beyond the obvious and give each other the benefit of the doubt. Ye Xiwu/Li SuSu first saw TTJ as the all powerful Devil God who annihilated her entire clan so anytime she lets her guard down and gives him a bit of trust, he seems to be doing something monumentally evil (in her eyes) which just sets her back to remembering him as the Devil God who is incapable of doing or feeling any good and goes back to assuming that he was just pretending to be ‘good’. She isn’t a very mature character in that sense but that also makes her very real imo.
In ep14 is it really Sang Jui who drugs and coerces Ming Ye into sleeping with them??? That whole scene made me…
It sort of sets the precursor to SangJui giving in to her demon side I think. She seemed so…vindictive there which was so out of character for her until then.
I love love love it! Reminded me of why I fell in love with K-Dramas in the first place. I had read the manhwa sometime last year and absolutely loved it and so, was a bit skeptical when the drama was announced but I have to say, boy was I pleasantly and heartwarmingly surprised! I will also admit that I wasn’t as invested in the drama the first time I watched it as I was constantly making comparisons to the manhwa while also trying to follow the dialogues via the subtitles. Which, I realised upon my 2nd and 3rd watch after reading the manhwa again, made me lose out on the many nuances of the characters as portrayed on screen.
I love how openly honest and filter-free WonYoung is. His child-like enthusiasm, empathy, compassion and sense of righteousness is so endearing. And he is so damn brave! The way he took responsibility for his feelings the minute he understood them was amazing! And I also like that he’s not a pushover- he puts people in place when he needs to, even TaeJoon :-) I enjoyed GongChan’s interpretation of WonYoung and sometimes, I even felt like his actual inexperience acting against someone who’s been doing this for a while helped bring across his character’s hesitation, confusion and inexperience of having feelings for a man for the first time.
And Yoon TaeJoon!!! To me, the initial promo photos didn’t seem to do justice to Yoon TaeJoon’s character as I had no idea who Cha SeoWon was but man oh man!!!!!! The sensitivity with which Cha SeoWon protrays one of my favourite manhwa characters has made me fall in love with him. I love being surprised by actors I know nothing about!! TaeJoon’s kindness and his desire to take care of WonYoung are such a turn on. His calm and gentle nature, his soothing voice, soulful eyes, that smirk when he’s done something to fluster WonYoung and that gentle smile when WonYoung has done something endearing are all so beautiful to watch on screen. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him develop a crush on WonYoung and then, slowly opening himself up and letting WonYoung in. I felt his heartbreak and confusion when he thought WonYoung had betrayed him and was with him when he thought WonYoung was pushing him away. And side note but Cha SeoWon is such a beautiful man!!!
They’re both so….cute! I smiled like an idiot when I saw them being silly and child-like with the whole clay-on-the-face scene and the car washing scene. I know it can be controversial to think it’s endearing to watch 2 grown men splash each other and run around like children BUT that is what being in a comfortable relationship is about. You have fun with each other and remember how it is to be a child. You pull silly pranks on each other, tease each other and laugh out loud with each other. I loved all of it!!! I’m not as bothered by the lack of proper kissing scenes (although yes, they would have been reallly nice!) and love the whole body hugs TaeJoon gives WonYoung.
I like Kim DongHee and Go HoTae as individual characters although to me, their relationship per se(or lack thereof) was secondary. They do end up together in the manhwa and it is also done in a typical DongHee-HoTae dynamic so that’s also nice. I felt so touched with the scene where HoTae’s mum talks to DongHee and also how they both supported WonYoung in their own ways. :-) And the sunbae! All nicely done.
I wish they’d shown how TaeJoon thought that his father wasn’t accepting of his sexuality which is also why Choi Inho’s betrayal hurt him so deeply (also in the manhwa, Inho was meeting a girl who’s father could help him get ahead while he pretended to date TaeJoon so yeah, ouch!).
All in all, this is such a comfort watch for me and yes, I can rewatch multiple times like I do with Semantic Error, Our Dating Sim, etc.

On a side note - the actor who plays the king always reminded me of Moonbin and seeing him on screen now is bittersweet…💜
And you’re right - my favorite dramas will remain close to my heart no matter what 💜
