Title The Rise of Ning Spoiler
do you want me to explain how it happens in the book
no, not the one they thought. it was "probably" the other sister-in-law, but there was no concrete evidence or conclusion for that. the one they blamed was really innocent

In the book, after her death, Yinning lives in the hairpin of LXJ's sister-in-law, who LJX said killed Yinning, for 20 years. But after Yinning's death, LXJ successfully takes down his brother using her death and becomes the head of Lu family. while residing in hairpin she sees constant refusal of the "criminal" sister-in-law and indifference of LXJ to her memorial tablet. adding them together she starts to think, the one that killed her must be LXJ. (It's not LJX-he really loves Yinning,)

The Duke was wounded, and one of his soldiers went out to look for someone to heal him in a monastery, where Yinning's mother was staying(because concubine Qiao was spreading rumors that the main wife was treating her badly, etc., and Luo Cheng Zhang was angry with Yinning's mother). He abducted her to treat the Duke. So servants think Yinning's father is just a foot soldier.

I don't remember if he is ever mentioned so probably not... husbands of the sisters or even the brothers/cousins of Shenyuan hold no prominent role in the book, overshadowed by Shenyuan. Lin Mao was interested in Yinning but even he didn't hold a big role in the resolution of events. My guess is they are trying to make an interesting second couple for the viewers with Lin Mao/Yuxiu/Han Zhao

they were married for 2 years, but she stayed as a soul in the world for 20 years after her death, then somehow went back at the time , to the time she was dead for 7 years and become 7yo Lou Yinning

Tho I enjoyed it greatly
none... Drama follows the novel VERY loosely, most of the stuff that happened in the drama didn't happen in the book, what happened ie. the pipa scene happened differently and way later

spoilers:

In the novel, like in the big chunk of it, FL is afraid and kinda resentful of LXJ, as she thinks he killed her. but closer to the end she learns she wasn't killed by him. And in the end, he even sacrifices his safety and plans to save her. The book LXJ really loves his wife and wants to protect her in both lives I think. But as I said because Yinning thought that LXJ killed her she doesn't love him. In the end she only feels indebted to him
... so you can say no love triangle

I definitely agree, in the novel, they hold different positions, they both want to earn more power, and they both hurt people. I was sad with Lu XiaJue's ending, and happy that They included a happy ending in a different timeline.

Let's see how it unfolds in the drama as even in the books showing that Lu XiaJue is not completely evil took almost till the end so they may still be faithful to the novel

Also to answer your questions for difference in the book and the drama

EXTREME BOOK SPOILER

I think the biggest difference from the start is that even thought we see some flashbacks from past, we dont know what they are. In the book from the start, we know that the story revolves around Luo Yinning, who was Lu Xiajue's wife and thinks that he might be the one that killed her. Also Yinning lived as a soul till 20 years after her death, hence her wish to get close to ShenYuan as he will be a prime minister that can oppose the power of Lu Xiajue. The story begins when she goes back in time and come back to life in Luo household in 7years old Luo Yinning's body, 7 years after her death as Lu Xiajue's wife.

As the story from then on goes around child Yining, so producers probably choose to put a storyline in which, she left to house and lived alone for 10 years for the FL to be almost adult. After that the story completely differs from the novel. Almost nothing goes like it goes on the drama. The father is shown as an evil man, but in the book he is just a lame man that favors his conqubine.

A different pipa scene with the same song happens, but much later in the novel, when she was already with her real family... but that is all, everything is REALLY REALLY different

Every time I watch this "father", especially with his interactions with LSY, I wish they kept at least some attributes…
I think they are trying to make him one of the villains in the drama. They changed it so much from the novel. He was lame in the novel but the drama is more like fanfic of the novel so I can't say how he will do in future episodes

the drama is just loosely based on the novel. I personally find the novel quite good and interesting, but the trigger warnings you have put are true. The novel shows the truth of the past times: like the women's role in society and family, grooming , wedding with much older men when they're literally children quite well.
For people who haven't read it, the MCs are not related; think of it like Cassandra Clare's book series.
I understand that the showrunners are hesitant to show child brides etc hence the initial change in story timelines, but it seems they changed way too much for us to consider the novel and show same material
