It starts slow. Its a slow and steady sort of drama but the casting is good and I like the interactions. I've actually dropped other flashier dramas for this.

And oh the ML isn't the main draw for this. I just like the family dynamics

How many episodes will be dropped this week please? I stopped at ep 22 and am intending to watch this week's episodes this weekend. I can't take the 2 episodes a day. But am puzzled with the single episodes.

Sorry. I didn’t make it clear. I knew it was between the main leads but the whole elevator, office and more office kisses were lame. The writer seemed to aim that towards immature viewers?

Omg. No. His stepbrother? Its technically not even step brother because he was adopted. Its plain siblings and him being the adopted sibling.

Its ok I am in the midst of a good thriller so not fussed. That male lead had so much PS he reminds me of a Kdrama actor.

Its morally wrong and disgusting implications. The writer can't find a better plot?

What am I saying? I watched bits of episode 17. It's so juvenile that I am not starting this drama now. How childish was it showing the passionate urges and a grown man being so carried away that he doesn't know how to behave. I mean people can do it but the whole mouth being lipstick smeared was so juvenile. Really. Shesh.

I am off to read an ebook. A good ebook.

That's still bad though if they were legally brought up together. Think of all the adopted siblings in the world. I am majorly icked out. The comments here have put me off this drama. Now if I can only find those kissing scenes I would be fine skipping this drama. It sounds too toxic.

Well I finished Shen Li and also the ep 17 - 22 episodes. It was so civilised and pleasant getting the progression. I just need to look for ep 23- 24. Then need to do some actual work work and catch up next weekend.

Geez. I stopped at episode 16. Now will wait for end of next week Friday then. That will take me to ep 32 which will maoe 16 episodes to marathon. So that's good in a a way. I am currently on ep 32 of a Legend of Shen Li marathon after having watched ep 39. Now I need to find another in between dramas. Queen of tears I guess.

Her mannerisms here is almost the exact imitation of Extraordinary Lawyee Woo or something like that. The hesitations, the rotating wrists and finger grasping motions. I seriously thought the character was like that. The novel version is fantastic. I want that version of Shangyao. Why did the production change the character? What's wrong with having the novel version?

Xingyun? Yes I kinda like Xingyun. I had no issues with him.

I hope there is resolution for his friend what's his name and the 3 person fate thing.

That makes sense. I have had a lot of dramas with senseless side plots. If they advance a relationship it makes sense.

Oh the jealousy? Surprisingly it doesn't bother me. Its the utter passiveness. I am used to the actor and have watched other dramas with him as the main lead.

I didn't feel the angst or longing yet from him. That's why I am bored. Ok. Episode 21. I will plod on then. This has been reviewed as very good and a happy ending. So I have to give it a good go since none of my last 6 xianxia has had a satisfying ending. I do not like the 500 or 1000 years cultivation sleep sort of ending.

For 39 episodes I want a good solid ending. A God who is above emotions- used to that. I don't even see much emotions in those jealousy to classify it as jealousy so that part of the plot didn't affect me. I just wanted to make sure those of you who watched it didn't tell me there were a lot of useless side plots.

I wanted to ask if ep 19- 38 gets better plot and movement wise. I am definitely watching ep 39. I just wanted to know if the story telling is worth the journey. Otherwise I would just see the ending.

I am on episode 18. I am depending on the good reviews that this show is worth it. The story is so slow and I can't get into it.

The filming is gorgeous. The actors are good. The special effects are very nice. I just can't get into it. I know this has a happy ending so I am holding on and trying my best to not fast forward.

Xianxia is just full of weighted remarks and comments. Too much for my brain.

I actually like the actor playing Mofang. Its a pity he hasn't gotten more roles. And yes I know what happens to him.

I am actually amused about the comments about the father. The actor is 40 years old and I remember him from other dramas. He is a very good actor.

I love XLY and have probably watched one of her older dramas like 20 times. I cannot stand Xingzhi the character so have no desire to go gaga over him. However I have seen so many dead leads and open ended endings in xianxia dramas that I have to finish this to overcome my memories of sad endings in this genre.

This drama will move faster right? I am at episode 18 already. I have put Blossoms in adversity and Queen of tears on hold for this. It's completed so thank god. Hopefully I will finish this by the weekend. I am so tempted to go to ep 39. Shall I? Then restart from where I left off.
