Episode 21's cliffhanger is too exciting. I could end my suspense and stop watching until Sunday arrives or suffer.…
The only comment is this. They complained it was hot waiting for the Cangbei delegation then have a bright daytime banquet.
So cramping some scholars for a State Banquet is kinda the wrong protocol in a historical drama scene. No 1 the tiny verandah and then minimal banquet guests including the big fat ass oranges. Then the performances beyond the bridge. Isn't it kinda cramped? I guess they can't use the formal greeting hall as they had to do a fight scene. I almost want the Princess Ding to do the fighting and not her husband that's all.

Argh. At this point I don't know whether I like Ye Li more or Prince Ding's character. Its rare for writers to write main leads with intelligence. I am happy neither of them have turned soft and sappy.
Strap yourself in, it's a wild and tough ride, but well worth the effort. Are you a teacher?
Nah. I work in a trauma centre so I see them after those punch ups. Or arrested. I just had someone with fractures all over one eye this week post assault. I mean he was unconscious with a brain bleed. Then I see teenagers who develop breathing difficulties with vaping. I see fractures from teenagers punching a wall or windows so I have to suspend disbelief that no one has any fractures or punctured lung.
So this drama is kinda triggering for me. I see violence at my workplace as well. So yeah objects thrown, windows shatteting, pepper spray etc.
So yeah I watch Kdramas for relaxation. This is not very relaxing but maybe cathartic since we can't actually do what the ML is doing.
Most of the comments here will naturally center around the 2 male leads but I will tell you from just a drama…
Lol. Thanks.
This reminds me of my teenage years where we had the best looking guys for our year. It was just good clean fun with guys getting along. None of this BL shipping crap. I will start this tomorrow.
I don’t know why I am surprised. I know Korean movies are violent and I knew it was violent coming in. The reviews are mixed as well.
But heck, this hits close to home. I have one timid kid in high school whom I'm afraid will be bullied. Then I have the other kid who could potentially bully someone. I don't think he will but he is the loud, popular kid.
So yeah let me finish episode 1 then decide if I will continue. I don't condone violence from adults but am also aware how horrific bullying can be. I see kids who smoke, vape, do drugs, have anorexia, sexually active, teenage pregnancies and have attempted suicide or from dysfunctional households. This might not be the best drama for me.
However it would be nice if the teachers get to set the boundaries for once instead of being bullied, stabbed, have the parents complain about them, have their cars keyed and those sort of things.
Hope all of you guys have a nicer school experience and life compared to those in the drama. It must be nice for those of us with sweet fuzzy memories of high school. I seriously wonder how kids nowadays survive high school mentally intact. I am not even talking about school grades.
I like both actors and if the story is good am willing to start.
I won't come to the comments because there are too many comments about the relationship. This is a straightforward male- centric mystery drama right?
I know many adoptive families who treat their siblings as siblings. The comments were icky. So I just want to know if I can just watch this an action drama. No hidden agendas. Not shipping for romance. I just want to start a new drama.
Done. That was a simple plot on the surface but much more complex in reality. The ensemble cast of actors had good chemistry so therefore the band of soldiers really bonded together.
I don’t think Sergeant Yun will do well in civilian life so yes he will rejoin.
That gochupchang ragu with kalguksu was too much for me but yeah it reminded me I haven't cooked kimchi jjigae for awhile. The colours did look good though.
I have been watching casually enjoying the main leads so not playing attention to the politics.
I am on ep 19. What did I miss? I mean why did or what did Mo Jing Li Do that he is or had to set his palace on fire?
So its obvious that Ye Li has a split personality now? She becomes a fighter? Man her mental state is complicated. She definitely has visual hallucinations but becoming Master Zhu is another thing altogether. Can this be classified as just delusion if you gain skills?
How will they solve this? By exposing the reality to her in like ep 38 or something?
If she felt only indebted then she would just concentrate on his leg, help his family. But she hugs him, keeps…
I keep expecting any of Ryan Cheng's characters to turn nasty on me so I am always just a step from stepping away from his dramas. I first noticed him as the sadistic brother in one of those historical female assassin drama. The male was ZLH and the female was that baby voiced actress. Can't remember the main couple or their ending but remembered him. I don't watch enough his dramas where he is actually nice and dependable. So keep expecting him to turn psycho or revengeful. So I am currently suspicious whenever he is on screen so didn’t notice if Ye Li even likes him. I know she is currently platonic and just nice. I am on episode 9.

I don't know if she is touched deprived. Or sensory deprived. Everyone she loved is actually dead and she sounds as if she was alone for years. That's why there is isolation/ solitary confinement in prison. That's why it was used as a torture method.
She has deprived of anyone she can open up to and also no physical touch- except the 2 months before marriage.
This looks like a standard Cdrama about marriage, politics, revenge but then the writers added all the psychological elements. I hope they researched it well so the ending rationales are plausible.
To be honest I have been bored with Bai Lu's female characters in the last few dramas. They are all the same. However I actually like Ye Li's character the best in the last 2 years or so of dramas.
Just read your post. Gotta give you credit for sharing your stuff. It is almost like a food journal. You do sound…
My cooking is edible good enough to feed a crowd without people complaining. I am not quite a degustation or deconstruction sort of diner although I have done both. I was at Gyeongdong market just a couple of months ago and that market had an extensive selection of fresh vegetables including greens. I have eaten purslane greens as well so the wild herb bimbimbap episode was interesting.
That cast is skewed so male- centric that the sole actress must be lonely. Its not as if they are filming in an urban setting. I wonder where the filming site is.
Luckily the drama has ended because it was easier to marathon. Well acted and directed.
The school life section was extremely well done because I liked everyone. However I did not like it enough for 90% of the drama.
Having said that since they resolved all the issues the last 2 episodes being short made narrative sense even though I didn’t like it being so short. We all know what happened to them because EVERYONE knew what happened to them. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Geez. Talk about suppressed emotions. That phone call to her BFF about their meeting? That was funny. Thank god they did some proper kissing scenes to make up for that slow burn.
This has still been an extremely classy school romance. I have seen so many crass dramas. This literally had 2 good looking and clever leads. At least they didn't make one dumb and dense main character. Its one of the better and well written school drama. As a romance drama... that was kinda slow burn then it combusted.
I am going to leave the thinking to the writer and director and just enjoy the episodes.
I am just in continual astonishment that a simple time travel drama has turned out to be one of the most memorable drama I accidentally watched. I knew Im Ji Yeon was a great actress from way back but Heo Nam Jun is just one phenomenal actor. Those 2 together makes me think they can conquer the world.
It was not in the book. No one can tell till we they show in the drama. FL's name is Yeli. The drama's name is…
You make sense and now I feel very sad. She mentioned the main in ep 8 but we don't see her. There is 1 Lishan academy guy who is also plotting revenge with her.
Teenagers are little shits but those are older teens and frankly I don't know how real life teachers are expected to change them. I don't see it.
I do feel pity for the kids who are bullied and also having to cope with the study load. Its enough to make them suicidal yes.
