Boy I just finished Ep31. Hard to watch especially ZL liked Mo Yi like Bro. The reaction of Commander Wang was bad too. Then XL and FTN were promoted, that made them look truly bad. ZL is really just pawn for Emperor? I thought he was a good Emperor but I guess I was wrong. He just uses smart people to make his name as great Emperor?

I hope screenwriter made the story well enough to get revenge for Mo Yi and make Yu family be gone from palace. We need justice for Mo Yi ....

OK、it looks like I understood correctly. So FTN doesn't know the fact about father poisoning mother. Yeah, it was his mistake for not telling her the truth about it. I think similar thing happened before? He or she (most likely it was he? don't remember) didn't tell the truth or fact and that caused some problem, so they said to each other to be truthful from now on kind of conversation on early episode.... I think.

I am traveling this week, so I haven't watched the next episode. I will read it later below. Thx for explanation. ENG is my 2nd language, so sometimes hard to get nuances.

I know I know. Does FTY know her father poisoned her mom? I didn't get clear that part. I thought ZL did w/o telling the fact? If she finds out about the fact she would forgive ZL? ( If she didn't know about father poisoned hrt mom.)

Anyway, ZL used to be more straight forward to keep justice on truck kind, but I felt ZL is doing more calculated actions among officers since he is promoted. It made me feel he is becoming like Yu couple 😂

Anyway I will watch Ep 30/31 now. I saw some spoiler video posted in X about he will do something horrible... 😭 Someone took video at filming locations so video was blurry but it said something horrible happens. I wished I didn't see it but that scene may come soon 😭 Thx for conversation w/ me. No one watch C-drama around me . Nice exchanging opinion ☺️

👋 Finished ep 28/29, the conversation (or more like FTY is telling Mdam Yu) was good 👍 but ZL is becoming like scheming official ! He is getting little too big of his head? He will be in trouble for sure. But we only have 6 eps left. I hope they won't rush the ending!

Yes, I truly hope so. His parents are such a villain CP, he also hates his mom and he always go against his father. He likes FL so much and he wants to be respected as much as she does for XL. I hope Ms. Wu will follow just like FL and YJX will find tru love, that's Ms. Wu.

I kind of have a same feeling about YJX. I hope he will realizes becoming like ML/FL is better for his carrier. I just hope new concubine Ms. Wu? will help him realize that and both will have happy endings! (Bcoz I like the actor who did great job in Blossoms of power! 💗 )

Ep27, I must thank to director/screenwriter for making this drama such a great story about court business during ancient China! Most likely the original novel writer did great job making this story so good. And I am so glad how Emperor is portrayed in this drama. So many people were wrong about him 😆 I just hope it stays the way he is until the end ! Bcoz anything can be changed in one day, There are so many great episodes but Ep26&27 were two of my favorites !

Ok thx, I am about to watch ep27. Mo and Wang are trusted aids for Emperor from the early episode before he became the emperor, but Mr. Mo got punishment !!! And ZL is the only one who isn't affected by policy so I believe he is good for the sake of Emperor and I hope he knows it. So I am hoping Emperor is the big backer unlike many comments here said he is using ZL as pawn .... Glad you commented me, I feel better now 😊 XieXie

Ep26..... please someone tell me how ML/FL will survive the harsh palace business without backers!!! They have no one! Emperor was easily affected by his Gdandma who was manipulated by Yu !!! Some said Emperor only uses ML as pawn for his benefits. Is Emperor that bad 😭 ? I thought he was a real good Emperor who sees people's true mind......

It was after he had to kill his close friend due to Emoeror's order, then he was under crisis of separating from FL. He was under mourning so he had beard (I guess he cannot shave during mourning ). Everyone was debating who was the friend and etc. That's what it was written.

Aaagggrrr 😭 😭 😭 I must warn you. X has tons of spoilers! The video someone took at the filming location, bcoz it was blurry and far video, shows future events and author wrote what would happened. Very disturbing content. I wish I didn't see or read it. So warning to anyone don't want spoilers, don't go there, Why studio allow such video to leak out...... 😭

This drama will be one of my favorite by DYX. Btw, the reason why they do not getting married right away was explained by ZL in the recent episode. Fu Tingyun is a disgraced noblewoman wrongfully accused of an illicit affair. Marrying early on under a cloud of scandal and court conspiracies would put both of them—and her family's remaining honor—at continuous risk. And Zhao Ling starts out as an underground salt dealer. To stand beside a noble heiress securely and protect her against powerful adversaries, he has to "level up", enter the military/court, and gain real political standing. That's why he accepted Emperor's order to clean up salt market within a year.

I agree with you. She seems to be very smart lady and she shows respects to FL. I think she wants to be like FL, but that madam only wants to use her as tool thru marriage. I wish she will be a good parter of FL in the future !

I checked the 'salt reform' during the Ming dynasty and it was very much monopolized, so this emperor trying to change the rules. Zhao Ling did help the reform in the drama. Therefore, there isn't specific histrionical person who portrays ZL (there was Ye Qi name came out in my research ), but the story lines seems to follow the historical events. Does anyone know who was the actual Emperor around the mid-Ming dynasty in this drama? There were couple names came up and I wasn't sure which one. Anyway, I love this type of drama very much. It is like 'Love Like The Galaxy' which are based on Emperor Guangwu (劉秀).

I'm at ep 20. I actually love it! It is better than I anticipated!
