Ugh that Zhang Ke is such trash. I also didn’t like how the whole thing with HH and JJ unfolded. It’s okay…
I am glad others felt that way about HH, it just was an awkward scene. I felt bad for him, especially because it seems she lacked complete empathy at all, especially after everything he has done for her.
I wish there are more viewers/commenters like us who are currently watching this show. TBH, this is one show I'm…
Yes, this is actually the only drama I am currently watching at the moment. I was watching Mysterious Lotus Casebook, but I want to wait til all the episodes are out to finish. I prefer to watch costume dramas all in one go or rather binge watch them. Modern Dramas I don't mind watching while it is on going.
Does LOA get better? I watched the first 3 episodes and I couldn't stand the dubber for Dilraba, they seemed way over the top and just kind of annoying. Also, I don't know if I could really feel the chemistry between her and Gong Jun.
Very good episodes. Much progress made. I am glad Yuan Yuan stood up for herself and didn't fall back into her ex's manipulation and tricks. Also, standing up to Zhang Ke, wow what a jerk he became, bitter and rude just because he didn't get the girl.
I am not sure how I really felt about how He Huan rebuked JJH. I don't know if I really liked the possibility of a relationship between the two, but she seemed a bit stoic in her response. I understand she is still married. I get it, but basically telling him to quit bothering you and stay out of your life. She allowed him to be around in the first place. Always relying on him to make food (which I know he offered and didn't mind) and allowing him to care for her son when she is busy and helping out with her parents. She seems sort of robotic, like she has no feelings or emotions about anything.
The more I watch the less I am liking He Huan. I am not sure what it is about her character, but at the beginning of the series I felt for her, etc. Now her character is annoying the crap out of me. If anything Yuan Yuan has become my favorite of the series.
There didn't seem to be much progress in the episodes released today. Actually for the first time, I fast forwarded through a lot of scenes, because they were kind of dragging. I did like the little interaction between Yuan Yuan and Mr. Liu. The scene with JJH posing at HH's husband Ou Kaige, felt really uncomfortable to me. It just didn't feel right. I am starting get where I can't see a relationship between those two. The closer they get the more it just doesn't feel right. At first I was all for the relationship, now I don't know, you can clearly see she isn't at all interested in him in that way. It will take a lot of work for me to see this relationship working.
We still have 13 episodes left, why are they focusing on that little hot line operator girl's love life? I don't care really about her story (although it is a cute little story, but her infatuation with Zhang Ke is a bit much and I am over that). They are veering from what I want to see. There is still so much to tell. Yuan Yuan and furniture owner guy's story, cause they have to get together, it is my must. Ren Jie and Bai Yang still needs to get together and their story told. And of course, everything needs to be dealt with in He Huan's life, her job (her book thing, she was starting to work on again with JJH), her (ex)husband's situation, paying off the debts, and most of all the feelings between her and JJH. I am interested to see how they are going to put all that in the next 13 episodes.
But most of all, I am so glad Yuan Yuan and her boy toy's story is over. I hated that relationship, like her friends said it was toxic.
Yuan Yuan always seems to be in some kind of turmoil, but this time I hope it ends with her and that "boy toy" of hers broken up for good. I do not like that relationship. I think it is bad for her. I am still rooting for her and the furniture owner guy (Mr. Liu).
Really enjoyed ep 24 and 25 today. So exciting. You are starting to see the seed of like (love) being planted between He Huan and Jun Hao. I love it. Also, Mr Liu (furniture own guy) I think has a crush on Yuan Yuan. He dropped everything to go see where he thought she was filming and then was told she was getting married and seemed upset so he went back to his regular schedule. I am rooting for that couple more than any right now. We also see Ren Jie's care for Bai Yang. I am glad we get these hints of possible interests.
I think these netizens were treating Bai Yang unfairly, granted she isn't really my favorite character, she is so stoic, but them placing the blame solely on her shoulders is entirely unfair. There were several other media outlets and influencers reporting that news story, for Bai Yang to take the fall for the whole thing is ridiculous and unfair.
Can someone breakdown how much the drama focuses on romance, professional life and other aspects so far please?
So far it focuses on more of the professional life and personal life especially of main female lead. There is a bit of focus on one of the other 3 women's romantic life. But so far there isn't any over the top or out right romance in this. You can see it building up in a couple of the women, but they aren't making that the primary focus.
It is a well written and acted drama of 3 women in their 30s (I believe) and their lives and what they do to cope with situations coming up in the personal and professional lives.
One of my favorite things, is just when you think they finished a case, there is always more to each case then we think, which makes this drama so good and intriguing.
~The singing in the park area. I loved it. LYN's voice is so mesmerizing and beautiful. I could honestly listen to him all day. ~The part where Zimo's friend's mother called JJH HH's son and how she looks so young to have son that old.....LOL and then he called her mom. so funny!! ~Yuan Yuan and the furniture owner guy (can never remember his name) falling into the mud. ~The scene with He Huan's mother on the stage.
I really hope Yuan Yuan and the furniture guy end up together. I think they are so much more fitting than her and that lousy boy toy of hers (that is what I call him right now).
Anyone else thank that family is way suspicious??? I mean seriously I think they were only out to get the money and they really didn't act very grieving for their daughter just committing suicide.
Fang Duo Bing is an adorable Puppy believing everything his master says and sticking to him like good cute PuppyI'm…
I am absolutly loving Joseph Zeng in this. It probably will end up being my favorite role of his. His acting and relationship with the other 2 is so well done and I am enjoying it immensely.
The costuming and stylist did an amazing job on Cheng Yi. When they show him in the scenes over 10 years ago, he looks like a young man or older teen. Then when they switch to him being the doctor, LLH, he looks older and so much more knowledge. You can really see that transformation with the hairstyle and the costuming. I really like that dynamic. You almost never can notice that type of difference, but here you can really see that maturity and difference in what 10 years has done.
No LYN in today's episodes. But, none the less it is still good. The stories are developing really well. I am enjoying each character's story. I want to see more of the BY when she is drunk attitude carry over to her non drunk attitude.
Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they seem to focus on Yuan Yuan more. Yes He Huan gets a lot of screen time and I know all 3 FLs are labeled as main cast, but Yuan Yuan, over the last few episodes, seems to be getting more and more screen time. I am not seeing much of a balance atm.
I don't know how He Huan can forgive her. She is a better person than I would be. I may not have sold her out to the higher ups but I definitely couldn't be her friend anymore. Although, with more than He Huan knowing what what she did, I don't know how they can not find out. That one girl likes Zhang Ke, so to get back at Yuan Yuan you think she would tell. Zhang Ke likes Yuan Yuan (I have no idea why all these guys like her) and Yuan Yuan just basically dumped him, so you think maybe for revenge he will say something.
I agree. It looks like she ends things, but if you watch the end credits, it looks like they may get back together,…
yeah I hope he is the end game too. And it looks like after today's episode she shot down any hope Zhang Ke had and went back to her lousy ex., after today, I have come to realize, she doesn't really care about him anyway (the ex), she is only with him for the money, she wants to marry rich. She has now officially gone into the self absorbed, all about me category, even more so, after that stunt she pulled to her friend. She has sunk low.
