Don't mark it as spoiler, let everyone who hasn't watched the drama see this. Its a very important aspect of their…
Thanks I did as you suggested. I wasn't sure whether this could be considered a spoiler so just thought to post it like that in case. I also wouldn't have minded more physical romance, but the more I analyse the dynamics between the two the more I fall in love with what has been presented. It's a very different representation of love compared to other romance dramas in that for me it speaks more poetically of the realisms of love in its subtle insubstantiality that add up to create a significant relationship valuable beyond measure.
So many hang ups about the drama not having enough physical intimacy or physical showing of Changge and A'sun ending up together at the end, but my take is that they are together (admittedly it's not explicitly/physically shown on screen). So much of this show has been about them working towards that togetherness and happiness that transcends beyond the physical to something that is unbreakable and connects them forever in this life. A relationship is not grounded upon physical contact or intimacy, it's the union of souls on the metaphysical level; it's the small acts of a hand on the back, a kiss to the forehead, the sight of each other in their eyes; its when you look at a couple and can just 'see' their love is a simply unshakeable foundation where there is no need for huge overtures of external affection to show their bond. They wear their affection and assurance in each other effortlessly. The ending is that personification of their unbreakable transcendent bond, like the red thread of fate; they will always come back to each other no matter what and even though thousands of miles may stand between them physically, they are with each other in spirit and heart always now.
I heard lots of upset HaoYan fans cuz of them cutting out some scenes or something. Maybe that’s why?
Oh this scene was interesting! The emperor is mad at the prince cause he's brought a petition most likely calling for A'sun's head. The emperor yells back: "Reiterate the rules of diplomatic engagement and state affairs!" The prince respond: "If father only wants a crown prince that is restrained, balanced and unwilling to take risks, then you have chosen the wrong person. All I remember are the rules of law (it's translated as martial law, but I infer that he's basically talking about internal domestic criminal law and the right to justice here, which should not be set aside simply because of diplomatic immunity/favouritism)." Emperor caves: "Alright! Alright! I appoint all those who are rank 4 or above up till rank 9 [I think he specifically mentions Shuyu's title here, I'm not sure] to investigate and find out what happened. Since the crown princes' playmate has died, we must have the truth revealed. We cannot blindly send a person to their death."
This scene is the first time you get to see the crown prince act like a real crown prince and stand up to his father for what he believes is right/just. Also probably the first time he's stood up for someone that isn't himself and does it in such a thorough and eloquent adult manner. Makes it all the more sad when Shuyu tells him that the 'friend' was actually a spy and probably was involved in the attempt on his life in Louyang. Like he said to Shuyu later: "This is the first time I have desperately tried to get justice/redress for someone other than myself." Such a turn around from the bratty prince into the mature little crown prince that could be someone worth following in the future. Looks like Shuyu has seen his potential and is willing to guid him. It's the realisation that he might be bratty, but he is infinitely kind and wants to cling to that kindness instead of become bitter from this experience.
I'm happy to be able to chat with so many like-minded individuals. The translations are fun and helps feed my obsession with the drama while also being able to share with everyone who is waiting for subs to come out. Now I just need to stop refreshing this page and go to bed for real lol

Understandable especially if you paid extra money to see it before everyone else and didn't receive what was advertised. I hope that this doesn't make the director angry and unwilling to do a special episode or a directorial cut version!
I am happy that Hao Du really changes a lot, but I kept repeating his scene from the first few episodes. I guess…
I'm so happy to see that you have stuck with this drama, instead of dropping it as you previously mentioned below. Sullen Haodu was truly adorable! Also loved when he came off as the cold emotionless guard, he just had this aura of coolness that made him so attractive. His happiness is slightly comedic, especially cause it feels like he's hesitant to smile and show how happy he is or he isn't quite used to smiling so it comes off a bit awkwardly.
Anything kind soul out there that can translate the convo GeSun had when they were sitting on the tree? Please?
I believe it was slightly delayed because of corvid and they were still waiting for it to pass the censorship process. Originally I heard this was suppose to come out around the latter half of last year.

It was basically an overhaul of the entire drama and not just one special episode. There were quite a few extra scenes in multiple episodes and the episode count overall went up by 3 episodes, so quite a significant amount of content when you think about it.

I feel like there was definitely a large part of the release that had to do with fans' demand. Same with the Untamed. Not sure how much of it is on the volition of the production team. :/ I'm worried though that cause the drama has been delayed for so long this might mean the production team won't be willing or is unable to spend the time reorganising old content into the directorial cut for release. Also depends on how much material they have on hand, I suppose.
