Anything kind soul out there that can translate the convo GeSun had when they were sitting on the tree? Please?
I think it's not just that simple. There's a lot of gaps between many of the scenes in the episodes from 45-49 that I feel would probably amount to more than just 1 extra episode. Nothing terribly noticeable except in ep 48 and 49. It's like when watching the directorial cut for Goodbye My Princess I found so many more interesting tidbits that just helped connect the story together.

I thankfully am not to the point were I would be completely disgusted with the ending, unlike in Love in Between. But it's true they really didn't properly wrap up everything. Truly a pity they never showed Pusa again after his few episodes. I wanted more Pusa-Changge interaction!
Episode 43-44: Why is Mimi stabbing A'Sun? What is the discussion between Sher and Mimi and what does Mimi say…
The dagger is her symbolic unspoken forgiveness and mending of their relationship, while also being a remind that he must continue to be a good and just emperor. This was truly the best conclusion between these two that could be reached after everything. Also interesting when you juxtapose this scene with Leyan's scene with her father. She's the apple of her father's eyes but their relationship will probably never be as close as that of her father's with Changge. I can't help but think that the love and care between Changge and her Uncle is more intimate and powerful as they are such kindred souls.

Yes it is beautiful and fulfilling, just also obviously incomplete. They should have left it at 50 episodes like originally planned. Or maybe hope they will give us a directorial cut like they did in Goodbye My Princess.
Episode 43-44: Why is Mimi stabbing A'Sun? What is the discussion between Sher and Mimi and what does Mimi say…
This scene was emotionally powerful! I translated a bit in a previous comment somewhere on here. Mostly it's starts off with Li Shiming trying to convince Changge to stay in Chang'an. He's willing to give her pretty much everything that he can give. She wants to go save A'sun, so she refuses. The whole circumstances and choice of her father and her mother's suicide are finally revealed, in particularly the letter that she wrote to Li Shiming. Changge finally reconciles her mother's choices and accepts that although Li Shiming killed her father, he is still her uncle. She finally calls him "Second Uncle" like she did at the beginning. She recognises the father-daughter relationship between them and says the she will only come to get her revenge from him if he treats the common people badly in the future.

There isn't really a full on battle at the end of the drama. It's more like the Tang brings an army and with the help of A'sun and the Eagles spend the time rounding up or quenching the supporters of Princess Yicheng (she kills herself because she can't let go of her dream to reinstate the Sui dynasty), She'er is let go because A'sun makes a deal, Mujin gets his revenge on Mimi's killer, Mimi's brother is saved, the former empress of Sui and her grandson are rescued and brought back to Chang'an.

Of course! Any and all questions are welcome! It's not clearly shown who becomes Khan, but I guess it's Sun. Eagle division finally get peace from all the fighting, although with Sun seen in armour at the very end I'm not sure how long this peace actually lasts. (Ending is really unclear about these two things you asked. Rather annoyed with how obvious there is so much left out.) The daughter of the governor actually becomes the disciple of Situ Langlang and will receive that nifty green sword of his, so effectively is Changge's younger sword sister haha

No problem! I'm happy to feed my obsession with these spoilers.
Sadly I think it will be a while before we get another A'sun :(
The reconciliation of Changge with the choices and circumstances between her father, uncle, and mother, finally leading to her letting go of her revenge and accepting her "second uncle" back into her life is such a journey from who she was at the start of this all.
If it is all to be left to your imagination, just sit on the sofa and ... imagine! You don't need to spend so…
Complete concur! It's the development through their actions and words that makes me truly believe in this couple's love, not the superficiality of a kiss or a sudden romantic scene with nice sparkle lights. Their romantic interactions are seamlessly intertwined with the story as a whole. So much of Gesun is physically, mentally and emotionally played out in the drama that makes them such a realistic couple!

It's worth a watch though! There's so much emotion and love between the two in dialogue alone. I know that the lack of action can be disappointing, but at the same time these two just make you feel their love without the need for demonstrations. It's rare, I think in our day and age were a kiss or sex is just the expectation when it comes to showing love. So for me personally the subtlety of their interactions between Changge and A'sun were just mentally sexually engaging and romantic without the need for any explicitness on screen haha

They fully understand each other down to their souls, even while standing on opposite sides, it's just remarkable. These two as individuals are great but even more are greatness together! Never seen such a well-balanced relationship on screen that speaks so realistically to me and isn't cliched.
I'm obsessed with this scene!
