Maybe you actually scrolled it to Xue Meng's blind date extras. That's the only one I could think of that barely or sparsely mentioned Chu Wanning, Mo Ran and Taxian-jun.

Guys, check it again. It's just one of the fan edits of an attention seeker. The C-drama news and immortality international commented on it and the one who did the editing also apologized. The damage is done though and a lot of 2haist who saw the post like me are very heart broken and disappointed.

Hah, no way. Unless they changed the whole plot to the point that HYX is unrecognizable anymore, then yes, they might end up together...

But they already bashed Sabrina Chen last year on social media when it first came out that she's playing Shi Mei(I saw this on a YouTube video that is covering info about immortality), Meatbun is in a hurry to placate the fans that they stayed true to the novel as much as possible, even keeping the iconic lines that novel readers loved. Also one of the insiders that claimed he/she watched a few episodes of HYX also said that he/she hardly saw shu mei at all. Clearly it means the story mostly revolved around Mo Ran and Chu Wanning.

We never know for sure, but I hope the drama airs soon!!!

That's so sad... I hope this is just speculation by the Chinese media, since there is still no official announcement... Once May pass, the hype might go down significantly...


I feel bad for CF and LY, they're doing their best giving out FeiYunxi fanservice to maintain the hype, but that won't be sustainable for a long term, the best time is May, really. I heard a lot of people in Weibo is also pissed or losing interest. I'm still going to watch it and enjoy it immensely whenever it will air but, we all know that the hype is all time high right now.

There's no Ah-Xu(x3) Wen Ke Xing sweetly calling Zhou Xu for one. And Wen Ke Xing is a lot more apathetic than in the drama, j can't believe it. I thought he was already heartless in WOH. But the novel have it's own charms as well. But it gets a hit confusing (to me at least), you know how MDZS is written in mostly WWX's pov? That's the same w/ TYK. Zhou Xu's pov and he's mostly unaware of the ofbthe plot in the Martial arts world (because he's not there). But the biggest difference is that they both act like 'bottom' in the drama but they were so intimidating and cool in the novel, both of them reeks of 'Top' vibes.

I would probably watch it. That's Chen Feiyu's first time as a male lead right??? I just want to see how he will improve when immortality is finally aired... I hope very soon soon.

Yes, I like Chen Feiyu too that's why I originally planned to watch EverNight in the first place. And yes I might be a little apprehensive that he might actually die in the end so I keep putting it off because I saw season 2 and he's not there. Thank you for putting my mind at ease about that. I might start watching it one of these days because HYX takes too long.

At least they're not that strict when it comes to donghua!!! I love chibi WangXian too. I've read the novel before I watched CQL, in fact, I didn't even know about the drama until I saw a comment on the manhua mentioned in passing. I was intrigued, I start watching and then I feel something is missing. It is romantic, but not as much as the novel. But my problem with CQL is not even the romance. It's the yin iron plot, lessening Wei Wuxian's coolness because suddenly he's not the founder of demonic cultivation anymore... And then, we all know Wei Wuxian loss control and accidentally killed Jin Zixuan and the 3k cultivator in Nightless city, but suddenly, Su She knows demonic cultivation? I wondered about that too, up until WOH. They said in the novel Wen Ke Xing didn't get any redemption and those kind of main n character is also a no-no apparently. If the main character has skewed morals, apparently they have to be redeemed. I didn't research on it though so I have a valid proof. I just saw an article on tweeter so I'm not hundred percent sure. I started reading the WOH novel, and guess what??? For the first time, I might even say that the drama is better. WenZhou is not even half as sweet as they are on the drama. I have to pay my respect to the WOH script writer because he/she actually did an outstanding job.

Did they change actor or was it another character entirely??? I also wanted to watch it, but I saw there's 2 seasons and Chen Feiyu is not on season 2, so I didn't go through watching it in the end, but I really want to. Is there a romance on season 1?

Yeah, I don't really care all that much about their censorship either, it's not like I live in China and directly affected. I just feel bad about the LGBTQ+ and feminist group there. But yeah, if it's just one kiss I might faint from happiness!!! When I first watched CQL, I'm still very ignorant about the Chinese censorship law. When Wei Wuxian shot the arrows wearing blindfold and then the forest scene, I kept expecting the kiss. When there's no kiss or outright romance that happened, that's when I realized that it's not allowed. It broke my heart, I really looked forward to that episode. I guess I'm quite ignorant back then.

Is there a romance on first season??? As I understand, Chen Feiyu is no longer the actor in season 2...

If not May, I'm hoping for August. At least according to the people I talked to online who seemed to know a lot said that's the earliest after the foundation celebration. But I still have hopes for May. Maybe they're just waiting for WOH to finish airing internationally??? Next week will be the last 3 episodes.

Yeah, I would definitely be disappointed in a CQL remake if it's not Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo, they're both perfect for the role!!! Maybe someday, I really really believe that maybe in a decade or so they might let up with censorship. Even a little kiss will do, sex scene might be a tall order to hope for. But yeah, I would love to see it!!!

You and I, as well as the rest of the people here would love to see the romance between them. So let's agree to disagree whether they're actually showing romance on those drama. We the novel readers know that the drama are meant to be taken as romance by novel fans, we all know the iconic lines and everything. But what I'm saying is, the romance is read between the line because Chinese censorship still doesn't condone homosexuality. And yes, the article is outdated. But did China somehow miraculously let off on their homosexuality censorship??? No ofcourse not. In fact just last week Douban also banned the radical feminist group 64bt on Douban, proof that they're tightening their media control And I'm not looking for a debate, I don't know why we get off topic, it's just about the romance tag. I would love the drama to show outright romance, but bromance is the only thing allowed. Just last year, they also banned ao3 in China and poor Xiao Zhan got caught in the middle. Let's just hope someday that LGBT became at least moderately accepted one day. Maybe they might remake CQL.
