I have been sh$&ting all over Thai BLs on MDL this year because other than a few I could count on one hand with amputated fingers , in 2023,, they’ve been terrible Especially lately. But in this case, this show at least deserves to start at 8 or higher. Maybe my standards for acting and writing have slipped because it’s been so bad, but for a first ep. this one shows potential and has that Kinn Porche vibe. Maybe more Manner if Death. The overacting is at least on purpose Lakhorn style as opposed to Dinosaur Love no acting skills style

That’s so funny. Ha ha. One of the main leads can act a little. He was supporting in Love in the air. Other than that the answer to your question is talentless but pretty faces and a writers room of Watt Pad rookies. There’s also attempted rape, cheating and other triggering events that would even make Mame shy. I’m tuning in to watch for the car crashes so to speak. Love Syndrom 3 is a masterpiece by comparison

How funny. I am watching laws of attraction right now as I read this and I can confirm it’s high impact drama with a real production budget. Plus there’s characters to lust after who don’t make me feel like I’m committing a crime. They are adults! Kinn porche vibe though not as untamed. And thanks. Actually I thought it was pretty good. I was just making fun of pat’s pouty face because it’s the only face he makes. There are some things to criticize about how Step by Step ends ends but worth watching it all the way through. So I won’t spoil it. Compared to most other shows Step By Step iwad well done despite some flaws you’ll pick up on in the finale .

La Pluie 2. When it rains, the audience hits the drop button

It’s 40 minutes you’d want back. I should point out there is a cliff hanger. When it rains, the younger brother goes deaf and hears a voice that maybe isn’t LonFom claiming to the his soulmate. He reacts with a sarcastic “ Seriously” then the show ends. I asked around about who’s voice it is supposed to be but so far no answers. If we are supposed to know who it is, I’ll share. . Let me know. if you hear I’d rather put up with 12 more episodes of Pats pouty face in Step by Step 2 than face 12 more eps of Pluie… assuming I couldn’t find enogh broken glass to chew on instead

Everyone pretty much lived happily ever after with. Both main snd side couple ended together. There was a huge meltdown scene in ep 11 when LonFom made a move on Thai

I have been saying the same thing. I used to work in the music business and we used to say the same thing about American Boy Bands. You’d go on a roll for about 18 months with truly exceptional talent (like how Tiberlake got started). Then attack of the clones sets I . Pretty faces. But no substance. Or talent. Derivative songs. Cookie cutter acts and the Boy Band cycle would go bust and into hybrrnatio. We may be there for Thai BL. Even the better done Thai BLs (with few exception ) seem tired and paint by numbers Does anyone ever need to see Pat from Step By Step’s one trick pony pouty face ever again. And next time it rains, please just make the screen go dark so I never have to hear from anyone’s domes psycho soul mate..

And these are the better shows. Rock bottom might Dinosaur Love , where I feel compelled to start a go fund me so the acting coach can find another line of work

I don’t think the care factor is high enough for even a special episode let’ alone a season 2. So why cliff hang it?

wang, i gotta be honest, i've been struggling with Thai BL's this year. Maybe a couple, three of em that are in the competent level or higher. Maybe that new Ja First? So far not bad. I hear the Krist on GMMTV is good. But anything i want to rave about is coming from Korea, Taiwan, Japan and, yup, even Filipino BL's have at least one half way decent BL if not more. Moonlight Chicken, My School President...what am I missing. I guess the Luminous solution qualifies as passable - D for execution but A for creativity - Even this new Chinese Bromance remake of Addicted is well cast and well written, even though the story is going to be compromised. by censorship...still better than 95% of the Thai BL's which range from mediocre to terrible. Sorry, didn't mean to drop a long winded rant on you. You just happen to be among the people who make the most sense commenting here where the acting is so bad the acting coach likely needs his or her own workshop
