Also, since most countries are developing, many young people from the villages or small towns move to the cities for work, but they have to send money back home for their families. So, it's not exactly uncommon for young/single working people (and ESPECIALLY young single women) to live with parents, relatives or family-friends to save the rent money. That said, FL (coz I still dk her name) and Shaopeng are childhood friends, and it doesn't seem like she lives there full-time but has dinner and crashes at his place more often than not.

She could be a neighbour living alone, or just paying SP's mom for dinner. It's one of the easiest ways for older housewives to earn - making tiffins/food for people who don't have the time or skills to make their own food. You make an extra portion of whatever you were cooking for your family anyways, and you get paid for it.
