yes, the beginning of the story has a romcom vibe kinda like "How to lose a guy in 10 days" because both FL and ML are pretending to be into each other for their own schemes and revenge and both sorta know they're pretending until they aren't anymore? But they don't even know? At around ep 10 it gets more serious and from ep 13 it becomes angsty. Tbh I'm rewatching now and there's not much filler stuff. It might seem like it's filler, but it all adds up and makes sense once you know what happens later. The only scenes I found too much or like filler scenes were with the SML.

I really want to get into FOF but I was on Ep 8 and I feel like Neo's character's story doesn't come up enough...? It kinda focuses a lot on other characters :( which tbh I'm not really interested in so I'm having a hard time getting into the drama. Do you remember from which episode the story dives more into Neo's character? I love sad dramas so I really wanted to get into this but so far, it's more on the comedy side and not all that interesting 😢

During the forced marriage scene I was already noticing how different MingYi was acting and it struck me as a bit odd, then once it was revealed it was JBZ pretending to be MY it made so much sense! I rewatched the scene and it's amazing how Lu Yuxiao was able to shift her aura and her way of looking etc to actually transform into JBZ . SO well done!

Her crying scenes are so emotional and she's just a very natural actress! In the final episodes this one scene caught my attention with regards to her acting skills:
I'm still watching the final episodes, but I'm really impressed how well the writers developed the script because JBZ really changed a lot since he found out about his master's actions and who his true parents were; you could tell by his behavior and even the way he looks and acts that he was deeply depressed to the point of being suicidal after finding out the truth (it was exactly like his master predicted, it would be a very hard blow for him to find out about her). When you watch the first episodes, he had this sort of bitter rage around him but he was still so much lighter and sarcastic in his mannerism. And in Ep 33 and 34, he keeps talking about dying and that MY would be fine without him and even fall in love with someone else etc. I really think the writers did a great job showing his state of depression because in many cdramas I often feel like they gloss over traumatic experiences too quickly and the characters get over it too quickly.
