The Empress' acting has been very confusing to me, and I mean the acting of the actress, because in her scenes when she's harsh to MingYi she was always on the verge of tears, as if she feels sorry for MingYi. But then she tells her very clearly she just used her as a tool. But then she cries as if she feels truly sorry? I feel like it doesn't really fit that she cries that way...crying for her son, ok. Or for herself, that would fit her selfish character. But for Mingyi? It just made me confused tbh

She was responding to a man who is heavily objectifying her, making it very clear that he sees her as some type of prize or possession that either him or the ML will "win". On the other hand, these last episodes barely had any filler scenes at all so maybe it was because of lack of time?

in the preview photo for EP 33 he was already seen with that ice on his body, so i guess he'll take part in the tournament and then he'll be on the verge of dying by the end of ep 33, in ep 34 mingyi will probably be trying to get that diwu tree thing from SL to save him ...and then ep 35 she'll save him, and then there's one ep for the happy ending..that's my guess

as far as i understood it, she basically lived for the battles so she was always training and it seemed like she was very isolated. i think the only times when she was around people was during the battles and besides that her weird ass mother kept her in perpetual training. i think she didn't even have to act like a boy because she was always alone...

yesss i'm rewatching while waiting for new episodes and even though i loved the beginning while watching for the first time, now i'm enjoying it even more knowing what's coming. such a fun drama but also so emotional

i understood it as the above person said it, that he did destroy the GMD but then then took it from his own body to give to her, because there was that scene where he extracted like a golden ball from his body. And now because of that the Heavenly Grief is affecting him again and he'll die of it if he doesn't take the GMD. Also in the preview for Ep 33 they showed him with the same symptom as MingYi, like ice on his body. But maybe I also misunderstood idk it's a bit confusing

Did the makers of the show notice how everyone was hating SL so much that they ERASED him from the next episodes? Lmao I'm not complaining but I found it funny how he all of a sudden disappeared completely

I have to compliment Hou Minghao on his acting again, I loved how in Ep 32, when his father says "as expected from someone from my bloodline" and meant it as a compliment but JBZ reacted with a subtle bitter expression that made it obvious he took that as an offense. Really love his acting!

the one part where I felt it was a but of a weird hard cut was when JBZ and Mingyi faced each other after he found out everything in front of the portrait, they were looking at each other and then the scene moved to the Empress. I thought it would go back to them again to show their conversation, but nope they just moved on. I found it also a bit choppy, especially since they then show up in front of that Emperor to stop the coronatin thing, and we never saw them after that one scene so it became a bit confusing if they had planned this together, if they had talked about what happened, it was a bit weird

I didn't understand the part about the portrait in Ep 31/32 ? Can anyone explain? JBZ tells Buxiu that he burned the portrait that hold his master's memories and replaced it with another one and that Buxiu knows what the portrait showed but to not tell Mingyi. But before that, Mingyi already found out about everything - like her being the Bo clan baby, him being abandoned by her aunt, etc - so why should Buxiu not tell her about it if she knows anyway?
