Will be skipping all of Situ’s scene in the coming episodes 😂
omg same. i skipped, it got way too melodramatic and it makes no sense why he would be so obsessed with her to the point of wanting to die for her? bro, she was just nice to you one time. his story is so far fetched it lacks logic
Why is everyone in this drama keeping things to themselves. First Ming Yi, now fairy Bo. Always speaking misteriously…
Because these are complex characters with a history of trauma and abuse and therefore they have trust issues and other issues. I don't understand people who watch cdramas and complain about these dramas containing conflicts in personal relationships?? That's the whole point? What do yall want to watch, the characters dancing around hugging each other in a carefree world? Then go watch teletubbies 😭
guys pls any recommendations?? I liked this drama sooo much I want something like this ! kinda funny but romantic…
Love of the divine tree has somewhat of that vibe and also an older one The Legends with Bai Lu, she plays a scheming MC and it has a really epic love story too
Does this drama have the same sound director as Fangs of Fortune 🙃 all these annoying over the top sound effects are so off-turning 😩 I'm watching ep1, are the sound effects like this throughout the whole drama?
idk if you already started watching, but it's like a wuxia with fantasy elements, nothing with gods and stuff…
There is supernatural powers involved so maybe it won't be your thing. The story picks up gradually and the final arc is one of the best i've watched in cdrama 🖤
I really loved the final arc, the yearning/heartbreak was just my cup of tea, but I honestly didn't understand…
Thank you! All of that I also got while watching, it was so heartbreaking and loved the real conflict of interests while still being in love 🥲 it still doesn't really explain why the writers made it seem like he hadn't told her he was Jinnan/her not acknowledging it even once she got the pastry. Idk I found it confusing.
I'm rewatching bc I loved this drama SO MUCH but one thing that I'd like some other opinions on was the following…
I really loved the final arc, the yearning/heartbreak was just my cup of tea, but I honestly didn't understand how the writers found it logical that Prince Annan, as soon as he remembers everything from when he was Jinnan, doesn't tell Shuang right away? Instead, he only lets her friends know by calling them by their names, and then bakes Shuang's favorite pastries, but doesn't tell her to her face that he got his memories back. That was honestly so weird, because to me it feels like the writers forced this part to make it even more angsty but it was out of character for Jinnan. Even if he is now Prince Annan with Jinnan's memories, he still should've wanted to let Shuang know he remembers and let her make her choice if she wants to stay or leave. (Although I loved the angsty part when they were saying their goodbies and he was trying to tell her that if she wanted to, he would do all the things for her that she liked (fireworks, etc).) But it was either badly written or I just missed something that explains his reasoning for why he didn't tell her?
And then right after, once Shaung sees the pastry that he made for her, I expected she would be shocked to realize he actually remembered everything and would demand to go back and talk to him. Instead, she just keeps telling herself that Jinnan is gone and that she has to move on. Did she honestly think it was a coincidence that he made her favorite pastry? Or why was she convincing herself that he didn't remember? The explanation for her actions that I have is that she realized he remembered, but by not telling her he implied that there was no way for them to be together because of them being officially enemies, so that hurt her and she just decided to accept that he was letting her go. This at least makes sense to me - whereas Annan/Jinnan NOT telling her that he remembers, even though he knows how much she longed for him, that makes no sense... Would be happy to hear how you guys understood his reasoning?
