I feel that the main issue here is that up to episode 10 (and especially episode 9) the show had a great balance of drama, romance and fluff. It was painful but it was uplifting, there was drama but there was resolution. But then episodes 11 and 12 took an odd turn to an exaggerated amount of drama and then an exaggerated amount of fluff, which kind of seems out of place with the rest of the show, and everything got resolved way too quickly and all the problems they were supposed to go through together just didn't exist anymore. So, to me, it could've been the best BL I've ever watched, but the last episodes turned it into just another very good and solid BL. Also, please be respectful to people's critiques. The fact that people wish the stories went a different way to escape the same BL clichés doesn't make them a hater, you don't have to like everything about a show to have an overall poisitive opinion of it.
I have to say that I share the same sentiment that some people are referring to here. Time jumps are my least favorite resolution to a series, because I'm always thinking: what is it that you can resolve in 2 or 5 year's time but you can't resolve now? It takes a bit away from all the development that the couple goes through during the show. But anyway, let's try not to suffer in advance and wait to see how it all turns out.
I feel that the more comedic route they took in these two episodes worked better than the more serious approach of the original, since the more simple and silly plot here helped hide the plot holes and inconsistencies of NLMG. That said, I kind of still wish this was an actual sequel to each of the shows featured here, instead of a parallel story with 'supernatural' shenanigans; Like Bad Buddy especifically deserved an actual sequel, about how their lives have adapted to their parents' situation. We don't really need another body-swap, parallel universe, time-travel BS. But at least the first episodes were entertaining, so I'll give it all a chance.
Poor ForceBook. It's the second time they have to follow up a highly successful and acclaimed show. I don't think I'm going to love this one, but my expectations are not that high, so I feel like I'm going to be able to enjoy it eventually. Force is so damn hot, he definitely is one of the few BL actors that looks like a man and not a teenager. Plus, the name Cher has to be the most amazing name for a BL character, I'll watch this to the end just because of that choice LOL.
I thought that was the best episode of a series that had already been consistently good. That is how you end with a banger. PS: I need more Fourth and Gemini in my life. I'm a bit sad their two shows ended in the same week. I can't get over them.
Of all the good aspects of each series, you gonna compare how the characters kiss??You're in the wrong siteJust…
You clearly don't know what homophobia, fetishization and gaslighting are. Stop using these terms because you're too dense to pull that off. Your one-note, passive-aggressive and offensive comments picking up fights with EVERYONE on a DAILY basis are getting tired already. It makes you sound very pathetic.

You have a very serious problem with homophobia. It's not the first time you compare gay kissing to porn. If you think two men kissing is as vulgar as a sex scene, you shouldn't be involved in this universe. Go watch a straight show - we don't need fake allies like you.
What's with all this self-sacrificing bullcrap? It's stupid. It's definitely not the worst show on the planet - I've definitely seen way worse, but damn the last 3 episodes were beyond lame. Horrible plot development, stupid characters' arch, cheesy dialogue, cringeworthy acting. The beginning is not that bad, even the episodes at the island still manage to keep up, but when the series reaches its climax all the plot holes and sloppy writing become way too evident.
Tinn's dad is so cute, I wish we'd seen more of him. This series is definitely now in my top 3 BL shows of all time (and I've seen more than 100). Let this be a lesson to the BL industry that the delivery is much more important than the premise of a show. On the face of it, MSP might not seem as special as some 'innovative' shows we've been getting, but make no mistake, the execution of this particular show is absolutely brilliant.
I'm not mad at Jim after seeing the preview for next episode like most people here, but I am intrigued to see how they're going to approach and follow-up that dialogue. If done right, it could open a valuable discussion about internalized homophobia and I hope and trust that P'Aof and his team will manage to handle it in a sensible way.
P'Aof and his team are doing a really good job with the direction and writing for this show. The more mature, less cheesy and less clichéd dialogue and tone in this show really extracts the best from the actors. First and Mix were absolute scene-stealers this episode, but the good work from the production team allows each of their cast members to have their moment to shine. Also, I can't stop smiling every time Fourth and Gemini are on screen - they are just so adorable.
I haven't watched this yet, came to look at the comments to see the general reception to it before starting, so…
OMG thank you so much for that comment. I couldn't have worded it better myself. Reading some of the comments here, I feel that this thread is filled with immature teenagers riddled with (not so) internalized homophobia. EDIT: Not to mention how annoying it is that you can shower a series with praise but then when you share one small bit of criticism people quickly turn against you and try to make you a hater. Like, come on, grow up.
I found this episode so amazing. I grinned from ear to ear while sheding a few tears at the same time, that's how much it had a strong impact on me. The storytelling and character progression in this show are always spot-on. The conflicts aren't dragged on for too long and don't happen out of the blue, and the show makes sure to wrap them all up in the same episode with an uplifting message. I have to say this is probably the most well-structured BL I've ever watched. Now regarding the elephant in the room (the kiss), I agree that at this point it should've happened already, only because the constant teasing is a bit lame, but that doesn't change the fact that the writing and the acting are still amazing, kiss or no kiss. But honestly if I see someone else trying to imply that people who are disappointed about the kiss thing are 'perverts who just want to see NC' I will scratch my eyes out. This discussion is very valid and people have the right to feel some type of way about it - especially those of us who are gay men and who have historically been stripped of male affection even in shows that are supposed to represent us. I don't think that's the case here - I think the lack of intimacy here has much more to do with the age of the actors and the target audience of the show - but please don't act like we don't have the right to be disappointed in seeing gay affection / romance / sex being toned down constantly.
This is definitely my favorite EarthMix series. P'Aof is really an amazing director, his shows have very well-structured and interwoven mini-plots that connect to a main plot. And like some comments I've seen before, I'm most invested in Li-Ming & Heart. Gemini and Fourth are so amazing both individually and together - they steal the show when they're on screen. I'm so pleased with this show - great stuff really.
Sadly this episode bored the hell out of me. I had already noticed all the glaring flaws of the show before, but all the previous episodes had managed to keep me entertained. But nothing really happened in this episode, and they all just continued to do whatever it was they were doing before they ran away, which made all the stakes tfrom the previous episodes just vanish. That said, I don't think the show can't be redeemed, maybe the last two episodes will erase this sour taste from this episode and manage to entertain and grip me again.
I think I'm getting old LOL. I never used to cry watching TV shows or movies, but those scenes (MILD SPOILERS) with Gun's mom watching him play before the operation and then Tinn telling Gun that the operation went well just broke me. Such a strong episode, one of the best of the series so far. I love TinnGun's relationship - their communication skills are on point and the way they support each other is so wholesome. This show never fails to impress me and to make me experience many different (good) feelings throughout the episodes.
PS: I need more Fourth and Gemini in my life. I'm a bit sad their two shows ended in the same week. I can't get over them.
