They missed their chance. If she hadn't made this promise to TSJ at the beginning, she might have kissed XL for…
I honestly think that even if the promise wasn't made, XL would still put barriers between him and XY because after all, he can't sacrifice the whole army for a girl. In this lifetime, there really isn't a way for them to be together because of the heavy responsibilities that XL has. Them being at opposing sides is the biggest setback of expressing their true feelings to each other.
does anyone know the ost where it's like haAaaaah haAaaaah haAaaaah haaaAAaaaaahh i've been finding it since s1 but i really can't find it lol it played again when xy said in the ep earlier that they don't have feelings for each other
Can someone spoil me and tell me if Xiyan Cang Xuan is the bad guy ? Or Do they end up together? Who does he ends…
He's not necessarily THE bad guy, but he does commit some bad things later on (mostly brought by his obsession). CX does not end up with anyone (because the one he likes doesn't like him), though he has some wives that are just for political matters.
TSJ saying at the end that he's allowing XY to choose.
Meanwhile XL doing his very best so that XY won't even consider him as a choice by constantly lying to her and hurting her and so she won't know about his feelings ever 😭
Xiaoyao does such a great job of repping the depressed girlies. She is the undisputed queen of self-loathing and…
What the drama failed to show us was how the blood sucking scenes actually turned intimate later on lol.
"There was no pain, only the frisson of cool excitement. Xiao Yao intently watched Fang Feng Bei but when he glanced over her she immediately closed her eyes docilely."
Help ! In season 1, I think XL explained why he always wear WHITE. But in Ep4, he wore RED. Does anyone remember…
From the novel:
On the battlefield, when that all white figure appeared, he would capture the attention of every enemy and all the strongest attacks would be aimed at him. That would help save more of their troops as Xiang Liu took the brunt of all the enemy attacks. So at night in the camp, when the all white figure was spotted, no matter how near the enemy was, all the soldiers could still sleep soundly.
After burning one deceased comrade's body after another, the remaining soldiers finally understood even more why Xiang Liu wore all white - perhaps he really was that brash and arrogant, wanting the enemy to see him; perhaps he was the wisest General who wanted his troops to always be able to see him no matter how dark; no matter the real reason no soldier dared to ask Xiang Liu directly so why he always wore white became a topic that was forever debated but never concluded.

Though I remember he also explained to XY once that he first did it to camouflage in the snow as he was being chased in one of his past experiences.
Me too! I couldn't see hardly anything in the crystal ball. I thought it was clearer in the book, what was going…
LMAO I couldn't see what the merman was doing too when I watched it, but that seemed to be the case. I was really confused because I expected the merman to be coldly facing away like in the novel— which probably would've been a more accurate depiction of what XY thought was XL's feelings and stance.
Me too! I couldn't see hardly anything in the crystal ball. I thought it was clearer in the book, what was going…
I literally waited for them to zoom in and show each and every detail that XY has created. Then I realized they were never going to do it, so I had to screenshot a few times and zoomed in myself yet a lot of the details were still a bit blurred— only the mermaid was seen really clearly.
I'm used to they downgraded everything about XL and XY relationship🙄🙄
It's really saddening. As of now, at least 4 of the scenes I've been looking forward to have either been changed as to reduce the depth and meaning, or just completely omitted. I particularly really liked the novel's version of the sequences when FFB was walking XY home after encountering TSJ and his friend. Such a shame that they changed it; I really wanted to see how Yang Zi would've portrayed how much XY did not want to part with XL and how the doors were already closing yet XY was still standing and staring at him, waiting for something unbeknownst to her own self.
I really wished they show the details of the crystal ball. I'm also disappointed at the way the drama downplayed how much time (which was YEARS) and effort XY spent in creating this gift. They made it look like the two experts did all the work when the truth is— the process was so long, laborious, and complex in the novel and that the miniatures didn't just magically shape themselves that way lol.

XY: Right. We have no feelings for each other. That's for the best.
and there goes my hardest and longest cry in S2 so far
WELL LET'S SEE ABOUT THAT-
