I have to say, I do like the fact that in the fight with Mu Yan at the tombstone (haven't seen the full last episode…
MY mentioned that he was the one who trained HZ and CL, so it makes sense that he's a lot stronger. However, I don't think they ever explained how he got so powerful in the first place though, or where he got his training, since they all seem to be around the same age.
I'm disappointed the writers decided to nerf Han Zheng in the end.. hopefully its not permanent otherwise I'm…
It's good that Han Zheng lost his powers because apparently that means he will live a normal lifespan like Qian people, so he won't be all alone after Jiu'er dies of old age. But since Jiu'er now has all of his powers, what if she will live to be 200+ like a Qi person, and he's the one who will die sooner? That would be ironic lol.
Same here! I would love to see a FL like her in another drama!
At least the ember is actually useful. It's the antidote to the poison and it prevents the north from freezing over so the Qi people could continue to live there. But that stupid pearl was supposed to be the key to a treasure with the power to rule the world, and in the end all it did was give off some blue light!
Same here! I would love to see a FL like her in another drama!
Chu Chu's naivety was frustrating at times, but it made sense. Not only was she from the countryside, she also lived in a bubble with no friends because nobody wanted to interact with coroners. She developed a lot over the course of the drama.
As for Miss Truth, a lot of stuff didn't make sense. Like all the conspiring and killing over the legendary pearl, and at the end the pearl didn't do anything at all.
Most of the action scenes were pretty good but the final fight was absolutely terrible.
I'm with you. Way too many weak and useless FLs in dramas these days. I like a kickass heroine. Though maybe they went a little too far with Bai Fengxi. She's already one of the strongest fighters, which I like, but she's also as smart and knowledgeable as she is strong. Princess Xiyun even became a world-famous poet and political thinker before the age of 10. She literally has no weaknesses at all, which is a little too perfect to be believable as a real human being.

Yeah Maiden Holmes is the only recent detective drama I've seen with a FL who's both really smart and can fight. She may not be the strongest but her fighting skills are decent, especially after the ML trained her. Even in non-detective dramas, most super smart FLs can't fight, and the strong fighters aren't that smart. A notable exception is Who Rules The World, where the FL is literally too perfect to be believable. Not only is she one of the top fighters in the world, she's insanely smart and there's nothing she isn't good at or knowledgeable about. She even became a world-famous poet and political philosopher before the age of 10. A true unicorn lol.
If you're interested in a classic wuxia heroine who's also a famous detective, check out Tie Feihua. There's a whole bunch of movies and a drama about her. It's all stuff that's a decade or more old, but she's awesome.
Totally wishing hard that the CP isn’t… he’s been sucha good elder brother and fair character. I actually…
It was pretty good. Each episode is a separate case, so the suspense doesn't last for long, but most of the cases are pretty solid. The dream team: - Joe Xu plays the title character, the refugee prince of a fallen kingdom. He's an eccentric genius detective who's obsessed with food and money. - Ju Jingyi plays a rich girl with photographic memory. A walking encyclopedia. - An expert coroner from a family of coroners. I don't remember the actress' name but she recently played Princess Lan in Shining Just For You. - The team leader who's a powerful martial artist and government official. - The leader's bodyguard/sidekick/errand runner/comic relief. - The charismatic lady owner of the tavern where the main character works as a waiter, and where the teams gathers to discuss cases.
On the down side, there is virtually no romance, and the lack of budget really shows. It was filmed entirely on a stage and all the scenery is terrible CGI.

Have you watched Detective Samoyeds? After two seasons they still never revealed the identity of the mastermind, and it's unlikely that we'll ever get a third.
the most horrible ending i have ever seen. makes no sense
Actually the ending makes perfect sense. It's not a good or happy ending, but it makes sense. They are back to square one, to the point where they were 1000 years ago. And likely in another 1000 years, the same thing will happen all over again. Endless cycle.
a girl like me, she is a general, cute, straightforward, has the best family im C drama land, and is funny
The FLs from A Girl Like Me and Who Rules the World are strong fighters but they are definitely not "cold." Quite the opposite; they are feisty, outgoing social butterflies! If you're looking for a cold FL there really aren't that many... Love in Between - definitely cold Listening Snow Tower - somewhat cold Ancient Detective - sorta fits the bill but not that cold for an assassin Legend of Fei - sort of? Princess Agents - not so much cold as heartless lol Side Story of Fox Volant - don't know if I'd call her cold, but quite serious and rarely smiles
How is the Wuxia element in this drama? Do we have good fight scenes?
Most of the fight scenes are not wuxia style at all. They are all CGI and supernatural energy like what you'd find in a xianxia drama, or comic-based dramas like Blood of Youth, Duoluo Continent, Battle Through The Heavens, etc.
As for Miss Truth, a lot of stuff didn't make sense. Like all the conspiring and killing over the legendary pearl, and at the end the pearl didn't do anything at all.
