I am contemplating watching this, but I have a question.... I keep seeing people say this drama was "cute", and…
Racy CDrama = oxymoron in most of my experience… maybe 2 ardent kiss scenes here. The others are very inexperienced, first-love, hesitant kisses. Very innocent tone overall to this drama.
it's Because she had cut her hair for Arsenal Military academy. she is wearing a wig in this drama.
Agree though that the wig was the worst. It was so distracting I think of that horrible hair whenever I think of this actress. Although now I will think of her with the short cut from AMA because she was amazing in that and that show was phenomenal.

I remember that when I watched this show (a long time ago now) I found the FL’s terrible wig super distracting and I really wondered why on earth she was wearing a wig considering how awful it looked. I just watched Arsenal Military Academy (so good) and now I see why she needed a wig! 😜
Are you fucking kidding me???Do you know how much money was generated for ALS research over the "Bucket Challenge"???…
Well said! Bringing awareness to a charity can bring in a lot more funds than just your own donation. There will always be people who only donate for the publicity it brings them. But, the benefits of that donation and the publicity for the charity are much more important than the intentions of the giver. And who are we to judge someone’s intentions, anyway? It’s all conjecture, not to mention we bring our own cultural bias into the judgements.
do you mind telling how to opt for this,? I have iqiyi subscription as well. I tried to find it on my own, didn’t…
Are you sure the dubbed version is still Jun’s voice? It sounds SO different. I watched the original version on IQIYI and I have to say the only thing I didn’t like about this show was Jun’s speaking voice. It has a sort of flat and odd tone to it which is out of sync with his “look”. That being said, I watched a few scenes where his character has the most lines on Viki and the voice not only sounds completely different but also really familiar. As though I’ve heard this voice in a lot of other dubbed cdramas… I hate dubbing, though. It is distracting when the lip movement isn’t synced right, AND we aren’t getting the actor’s performance.
I think this is coming out before end of this year.. It now shows on IQIYI as coming soon and says release year is 2023. Doesn’t have a specific availability date yet…
Agree. The first half of this was absolutely incredible. It completely lost its way and then ended on such a weirdly unfinished note. I would have rated it 9 stars for the first half. I kept waiting for it to recapture the magic but it didn’t. Liked the cast. Liked the OST.
The original series, “Addicted” was “~ Adapted from the novel "Are You Addicted?" (你丫上瘾了) by Chai Ji Dan (柴鸡蛋).” Since this appears to be the same story, that should be your answer.
I'm not a fan of Park Min Young, and the girl wearing the confederate flag almost made me drop this, but I'm not…
Interesting. TBH I didn’t even notice a confederate flag , but I’m not American. Also, filmed 9 years ago and I wish people would think more about sensibilities of the time and place than impose current standards. And keep in mind this is also not American. If I had noticed it, I would likely think, “huh. Interesting that this was a fashion choice of wardrobe dept. I wonder what brand this was and whether it was popular in the US then or internationally only (in a cultural appropriation sorta way where they don’t really understand the symbolism/history).” To me it is much more interesting to take an academic approach to these things than to be offended and cancel things. But I’m in my 40’s and there is definitely a big difference in the gen X approach to such things versus the younger generations.
Currently binge watching Park Min-Young show now, started with Her Private Life, Secretary kim, Love in Contract…
Agree she is sooooooo thin in Love in Contract that it is distracting. Her character is warm, but professional and distant so I think the smiles might have been toned down purposefully. I did really like it though. But she is really great in Healer and Her Private Life and Secretary Kim.
nah he has good ones like suspicious partner and lovestruck in the city
I tried SO hard to watch Lovestruck in the City because I’m his fan, but I couldn’t get through it. His character was cringey. I didn’t like the format. Wasn’t for me. Sound of Magic just didn’t pull me in. I have to be in the mood for a musical show. He has done very diverse stuff since finishing his military service. I notice he has a lot of things still due out this year so I’m excited to check them out!
Yes!!! K2, Healer. Yes yes yes. I will take Backstreet Rookie, too! Melting Me Softly, ok. But he has done some strange projects lately. I tried to watch because it was him, but I couldn’t get through them.
