I’ve rewatched this drama 3 times and I still love it. On rewatch I do skip through some of the real world stuff but I love it regardless. It’s one of my all time favorites. ❤️
I agree that this was a really good drama for female empowerment. I also agree that there are some problematic situations in this drama that were portrayed as a little too easy to escape from.
Someone (on here) said they are the same but I remember the opening of episode 1 being awful. I had to rewatch that opening scene half dozen trying to figure out what he was talking about with the bitter gourd but the subs on Viki are very clear. So idk..? To me, they seem way better than MGTV’s subs but I’m only on episode 1.
Hmm weird. I just watched the beginning of the first episode on Viki (not YouTube) and they seem way better then the mangotv version. I watched the MGTV version more then once and the beginning was so messy I didn’t even understand what the company did at first or why he was on the cooking show.
The subs are definitely different on Viki in ep1 from the original subs on MGTV. I can tell just by watching the first 30 seconds. They’re already explaining the show WAY better than I’m the MGTV subbed version.
I wonder if Viki released with the Mango subs so we would get access to it sooner because there is a sub team assigned to it so maybe they just need some time to edit the existing subs? This is just my guess…
Regionally licensed and coming to Viki (premiere date not revealed).https://www.viki.com/tv/38507c-simmer-down?qId=eed6d7df198a51a5946f72a18e99420e#reviews
There are 2 episodes available on viki now, 2 more coming in 1 day.
Interesting concept but lacking in the execution. I would still love to see a S2 though maybe with a budget increase. Alternatively, I would love to see this story remade with better execution.
It's the same for me, I'm on ep6 and I can say this isn't my favorite version. For me, the Japanese version is…
I feel the same way. The Thai version feels very rushed to me. SO much so that I couldn't feel any deep genuine feelings between them. I love bickering couples but at some point, that bickering should be matched with some romance. I was really surprised they didn't go a little further with the romance since Thailand isn't as censored as some of the other countries. Even the Chinese version had a lot of kissing (something I didn't realize until I rewatched it). But cuddles and cute moments between the leads would have been really appreciated in the Thai version especially since they cut out many scenes from the original material (beach scene, cabin scene).
I think this version may have beat out the K-ver for the worst adaption. It just lacks in so many areas that it barely feels like HYD to me.
And I agree about the misdirect with the police women's ringtone. Just why?
