I had so many mixed emotions because on the one hand he was very sad but on the other he looked slightly happy that she not only walked away in front of all those people but also did not congratulate him like he asked.

LOL we are probably never getting that. It's very rare to see "kdrama kisses" in costume cdramas. You see them more in the modern cdramas or the mini cdramas.
