When XY and Jing finally talk about the crashing of the wedding, he says that he "randomly" bummed into XL (which no because XL doesn't let anyone just "randomly" bum into him, it's just an excuse that XL is using to justify breaking up the wedding without giving himself away) and they discussed the plan. Jing in the novel isn't dumb and by the end of it, readers are/should be well aware of the fact that he knows that XL has some sort of feelings for XY and vice versa. So honestly in my opinion it's a combination of both.

I love DW's voice though. I feel like it might have worked with his character tbh. A man can be sweet with a deep voice. Just my 2 cents. As for the Dylan thing, yeah I thing dubbing him was a good choice.
CRXY is a piece of work. I get her sob story. She was held hostage and was afraid and could not be carefree. Okay fine. But then if that's the case, and you can't marry for love, why are you trying to covet Xuan? You don't love this man even a little bit. It's not real or genuine because when you love someone their status is not a major factor. Xuan, Xiang Liu, and Jing all really love XiaoYao because her status doesn't matter. Xuan is working so hard to ascend the throne to be able to protect her when her true identity is discovered. Jing nearly tried to die to follow her in death and loved her as WXL. Xiang Liu has given her one of his lives, literally will drop anything to come save her when she is in danger, and taught her how to defend herself. Sure, love isn't a one size fits all but she does not love Xuan AT ALL. Only XiaoYao and AN have any right to act the way she was acting.
FengLong was so right about how if she wants something good she has to be willing to sacrifice. She can't expect Xuan to be true to her later on and does not want to be true to him except when he has power. I really do not like her entitled ass.
Why did XL stop himself from kissing her in episode 37?? Anyone have an explanation?
Semi-Short story: He's a yaojing shipper. The biggest one. And he's determined to die (bc loyalty to his adoptive father etc.) Short Long story: He loves XY and wants to make the wishes she told him as WXL come true before his ultimate death, i.e. being able to protect herself and having someone by her side who won't abandon her that she can get warmth/love from.

I feel like that would go against everything he stands for though...It's been hard for me to come to terms with his novel ending but...this is the path he has willing chosen for himself time and time again.
