Omg that's such a good point. They really are the same. However, I feel like SY is a bit more talented than LC. Without the princess and her affection, he still would have been successful. In fact, she only met him because of him doing well in his studies, whereas with LC, I don't think he'd have made it as far.

Tbh, I can see how it would align with his character because in that time period, I don't think they took marital rape seriously and she was still technically married to her. On top of that, based on what I've seen so far from him, I'm getting a "I can do whatever to you but nobody else can" vibe. Idk, I'm interested to see how they further develop this character and how he tackles his feeling of guilt and helplessness. But either way, I liked reading your perspective on things/his situation. It was interesting.
