Title The King of the Desert Spoiler
Damn episode 3 was so funny, and then it got sad so fast. I love that little dysfunctional family
Also, was Haeil's mother hinting at something else when she said she was going to pray? I'm confused about whether her serious tone was meant to highlight that her mind was gone for thinking that praying could help them with their debts or if she said she was going to pray, but in truth she was going to earn money by doing an humiliating job since that seems to be the leitmotiv of the drama.

So episode 1 it's like a hyperbole of the nonsens that can happen in the office work. Like drawning the circles,…
The scene where she walked away without following that stupid pattern was so satisfying, I was like "YOU GO GIRL SHOW THEM". But it's all meaningless imo, since there will always be someone ready to take her place, that sum is just too juicy to ignore it.

Omg I love Severance and this sounds right up my alley. Thanks!!
Yep, Severance is also one of my faves! My comment was just about the first ep though, from the trailer I can tell that they will change the setting from the office to the outside, although I think the offbeat tone will stay the same through the whole show

I don't know about the rest (I plan to binge it tonight), but the first episode was great imo. It gave me sevarance vibes with the characters having to do meaningless tasks without knowing the reason and the sense of alienation it gives. I can see why people don't like it because it's a really atypical drama: no action, toned down emotions, out of the box, intentionally jarring camera angles, surreal tone and cynical development. Watcha did a mistake by promoting it as a thriller, it was misleading, because this is more of a satirical black comedy than a thriller.

Can you let us know if they are there?
Of course. I don't have Viu to check for myself, but if there are eng subs I'll probably know it through socials and I'll write it here

He's overrated now because of jisoo
I'm not even a big fan of him, but he's a really talented actor and he deserves the praisings he gets. He proved to be a rather versatile actor and that he has range by giving intense performances both in this drama and in D.P, so I don't see how Jisoo has anything to do with his fame when Snowdrop is far from being his most popular work

So how disturbing is it on a scale of 1 to 10?
Probably a 7? There is violence, body horror and gore, but it's portrayed in an intentionally rather cartoonish way. There are creepier thrillers out there

should i give it a try, or is ok to skip? 😂😂
Depends. Personally I really liked it despite the middle part being a little weaker, but it has its problems in terms of writing in some parts, it's not what I would call badly written though. I think you should give it a try if you're a fan of scifi, of takashi Miike, of j horrors or/and if you enjoy anime and manga because it surely felt like one

is this very gory/graphic?
It is gory, as it focuses on body horror, but I guess it depend on your tolerance. People who are used to watching violent movies found it quite soft compared, but people who are not used to it found it repulsive

It's not even confirmed yet, like usually Disney + isn't as bad as Netflix when it comes to renewing TV shows…
But I think it's doing good anyway, of course not everyone is liking it, but they still bring views and discussions online. Actually it's probably the most watched Disney+ original, so I'm kinda hopeful

THIS WAS SO FUCKING GOOD AND COOL WTF IM AMAZED I HAVE NO WORDS i need to watch more of this director AND DAMN…
It's not even confirmed yet, like usually Disney + isn't as bad as Netflix when it comes to renewing TV shows for a new season, but since they still haven't confirmed it it's possible that they're waiting to see how successful it is, and based on that they will decide whether it's canceled or renewed.
