Title Our Blues
wow from 8.1 to 8.6, the ending gave so much impact but it deserves to be atleast 9.
It was even lower when it started, I remember being very shocked because it didn't even reach 8.0 and I was like "are you kidding me?", I'm so happy that it now has a very good rating. Of course it deserves more, but I won't complain given where we started.

Happy ending? Mark as spoiler thanks in advance
I think yes, the way their relationship is portrayed in the last episode seems to suggest that they got together

I know both our blues and liberation notes are good but which one is overall better?
I think it's a matter of taste, but I personally prefer Our Blues by a large margin, it felt more natural to me

The perfect ending for this beautiful masterpiece. It was without a doubt a 10/10 for me, it's hard saying goodbye to these characters

getting q bored.. need to step up their game a bit..
I think it's because they're still setting things up (too much exposition), probably it will get more intense and faster paced once the actual story starts. This was just the premise basically.

I respect your opinion, but I have to disagree on the last part. I am quite picky as well, but I didn't find any…
I felt I had to make that premise since text can't convey the tone that the writer is using, and I wanted to make sure I didn't sound aggressive, but I'm glad you said it wasn't needed. I understand your point because it also happened to me to have issues with dramas that are beloved by many. I guess it's normal since we all have different interpretations and expectations. For example the characters writing when it come to three male leads (JS, HKM and Cheolie) is one of my favorite things in this drama due to how their trauma is handled and how flawed and morally grey/unpredictable they are. But anyway it's alway interesting to come across different opinions

Alot of unconvincing characters turned me off from this drama. I can see how people who prefers this genre love…
I respect your opinion, but I have to disagree on the last part. I am quite picky as well, but I didn't find any big mistake in the screenplay that could seriously affect the overall quality. Of course there are some flaws, but I have yet to come across a drama that doesn't have any.

I'm not ready for the final three episodes, I already cried too much for episode 17. Can't believe that I'm an adult and I was like "oh my gosh there are 100 moons woow". Also I loved how almost the whole cast was deeply involved this episode.

So, how was this? Should I watch it? Sadly there arent any reviews either :(
After the last four episodes I think that it's not bad at all. It's not great either, but I would say it's worth watching. Only real problem is that they introduced many storylines, which made it quite draggy and dispersive, and most of them didn't get solved at all because they're probably planning a second season. Now, if there is really a second season then it can be a really good show, otherwise it will be very disappointing due to having too many loose ends.

Does it have a lot of gore? I have been meaning to watch it for the past few months, but I'm scared that they…
If you were fine with Strangers from Hell you should be fine with this one too

It will end up at a fair rating eventually, calm down people. Is everyone new to MDL or what?
What do you mean? There are plenty of dramas who end without a fair rating here on mdl 😂

maybe season 2?
I doubt it because kdramas rarely get a second season and the director never mentioned it

I really wanted to like this drama, but after eight episodes it feels like the plot has progressed only a little bit. We're so close to reaching the end, and there are so many subplots to solve, and yet it feels like nothing has happened so far. We literally don't know anything yet, nothing has really changed for the viewer compared to the first two episodes. And what makes it more annoying is that they keep on adding those "shocking" moments with no real follow-up because whenever something finally happens the plot just moves on to another thing and leaves that for later, which breaks the immersion imo. I hope the last four episodes can give it at least a satisfying conclusion.

I still don't understand why this drama is so underrated and regularly gets trashed on. I personally find it to be brilliantly written and beautifully filmed. The way each characters feels so real with their flaws is not something so usual in kdramas, it constantly shiftes your perspective on the characters and their situations making us understand that sometimes we judge things without having the full picture, and it even touches on so many topics that are uncommon in kdramas in a rather satisfying way. Not to mention the perfect performances by the actors that can make a scene unforgettable. And the cinematography is just stunning, it's like visiting Jeju Island for real.

I love how complex and nuanced the storyline is - and the acting, of course. Like the Mi-ran/Eun-hee thing. Kdramas…
Well said, this is what I love about this drama: it's not afraid to make its characters unlikable and flawed, which makes it much more realistic compared to the average drama where the leads are usually perfect and bad things happen to them because they are unlucky or misunderstood.

is this good? should I watch it?
I personally have mixed feelings about it since I quite liked the first two episodes, but wasn't that impressed by ep. 3 and 4 and I don't know if it's because the pacing feels a bit draggy or if it's because of the acting and the directing not being as impactful as I imagined after watching the trailer. If you're unsure I think you should wait a little more than a week once it's finished. It's a whodunit type of story so it may be that they're saving the best for later episodes, but right now it's not fully convincing; that's all I can say for the moment.

I really loved that animated sequence at the beginning of episode 2, especially when her face/mask starts falling off. I have a feeling that this drama is going to be great. I will probably do a rewatch later when better subs are available (but for now I'm grateful for these subs we're getting).
