Maybe, or maybe not. Since trolls are a thing in this platform (*cough* a certain drama that is now doing great being rated with a 4.5 when the first episode wasn't even released in South Korea *cough*) I have some doubts about it.
Honestly, I have yet to find any thriller (this is probably true for other genres as well) that doesn't have any unrealistic parts. Most of the time suspension of disbelief is asked to advance the plot or to build tension and create more hype, which is not a big issue as long as the show doesn't completely become random and exaggerated.
For me a worthy ending is an ending that doesn't force an happy ending into the plot when it's not fitting, that has a solid pacing and that doesn't feel like a check-list (like "now we're closing plot point 1, then we close plot point 2 and then plot point 3 and now the episode is over"), I prefer ending that reflect the tone of the show and that actually makes me feel something. I don't know if I was able to explain properly ahah.
By the way, I agree: if the ending doesn't dissapoint me it will surely become my favorite Korean show and probably will make it to my top 5 favorites from all countries, or top 10 at least.
I'm actually trying to avoid spoilers as much as I can, I just want to know if it's a worthy ending because I'm often dissapointed with the endings in Kdramas 😂.
BUT if you do want spoilers then you can check out tving channel on YouTube, after each episode they release some clips from those episodes.
It doesn't have an international streaming service. It's not on Netflix or Viki or even Disney +. This means that it's not that easy to find unless you already knew the actors, the original movie or you heard someone talk about it; this is of course a huge disadvantage compared to dramas that are easier to access, with more popular actors and get promoted by major platforms like Netflix. It also doesn't have many elements that can appeal to a broader audience. I think that it's already something that despite these facts it still managed to create a small and passionate (and growing) fanbase and lots of praisings.
I'm trying to convince myself not to look up anything from South Korea to avoid spoilers😂
That was a wise decision because I saw the teaser for the final episodes before I could see episode 9 and 10 since Tving posted it on Twitter, but the temptation is just too real ðŸ˜
Seems like those who watch this drama don't visit this site. Or perhaps like me, they're hesitant to sully a beautiful…
Yes, I've seen it getting more attention on other socials, which makes me happy because it means people are watching so they should be motivated to make a second season (but I think Apple Tv doesn't care as much as Netflix about getting big numbers on the dramas to renew them). And yes, there is indeed a preference for certain kinds of dramas here, including fluffy ones
I've struggled in middle school as well (I actually blame more the teachers than my classmates though), so I understand that feeling. <3
