On a friendly note, you really gotta chill tbh. I think everyone in the comment section already get your point about how much you love your 'chen shen' character here & want his happy ending. You have seen the ending credits, you do know he isn't gonna end up with LXX .. So I understand you are frustrated & keep venting it out to every commenter possible😂

Personally watching this only for the yan ze & luo xiao plot & skipping everything else (also only their plot gives some kind of intrigue + drama & rest of the plot falls flat & super uninteresting for me). Lowkey even wish if Luo Xiao character was the FL. She clearly has a much better screen presence, aura, makeup & definitely a way better actress than FL like just look at the scene in EP18 where she cries her heart out to chen shen. She is eating up FL by a long way in every department quite literally.

I fully know that it's someone's own prerogative however it's kinda crazy how sanha's mom face is super distracting with all that PS... Like how much work she has done to her face for real 🤦

yes, the divorced couple seem very interesting for me. Don't like the 3rd couple yet coz the third FL seems very passive for now.

It seems like something happened between them & it just isn't specific to her career aspiration for the breakup. However my point is, even if the reasons for breakup was very valid, atleast behave like a mature adult when you are meeting your ex after so many years. This ML is supposed to be running a company but keeps trying to find excuses to put himself infront of the ex again & again, runs off to find her the moment he can't see her at work etc. It's so immature & cringe inducing when she is still your ex from years ago. Ofc my observation is only till the 7 episodes & there is a chance he might get better but I have no intention to watch this any further at all but if i do, it will be only for the second couple. I like their dynamics

Ofcourse, Ignoring is an option but here the context is the ex is sitting right there who isn't putting any realistic effort to stop the SML. So that's where your self respect goes for a toss coz he did all of this shitt just for his ex. So, ignoring it like you said would have been a weak defense for your self respect. In the ideal scenario - As a ceo of a company that was investing in her show, I would have simply made it a point to the FL there that it's upto her if she chooses him or not but he doesn't have anything to do with her anymore to bear insults from her bestie & left. This is what I meant by leaving. But he is way too lovesick to do all of this. That was my actual point here. The way he was longingly looking at FL in the end when she was talking to the SML was really the final nail in the coffin in regards to his character as a total doormat in regards to his self respect.

Staying there unfazed isn't some ground breaking defense against your self respect being harmed is my whole point. I am not sure what makes you think that. Nope. If in a place of gathering, I am not getting the respect I deserve, me leaving the place is just as good. Your way of thinking is very flawed if you assume staying in a place where you are disrespected but pretending to be not fazed by it is the best way to avoid giving them any satisfaction. Your idea of self respect regarding that scene is bizarre & not even making sense here. The self respect here are the insults thrown at him by the SML which was blatantly obvious to the MLcoz of the ex who was sitting right there. The ex could have easily made the guy shut up but instead let him go on a rant multiple times. Any self respecting human would have left the scene there or atleast strongly objected or behaved like a mature person. Not still hang around & keep longingly staring at the FL while she talks to the SML. It's cliched, cringe & immature af. Especially when the ML is supposed to be running a frigging company.

God, I thought it would be promising but yet another spineless love sick ML who couldn't move on for years, runs off to airport for a chance to (stalk) the FL just coz he got a notification (which is weird already to have your ex notification still in your phone just coz she booked flight tickets in your phone eons ago) & calls it impulse, Deliberately creates/finds situations to put himself infront of FL again & again, now following her around everywhere like a lost puppy. Any sane person would have walked away from that scene where the SML was mouthing him off but this dude sat there till the very end without an iota of self respect & still longingly staring at the FL like a buffoon. What an insane turn off to have a ML like this 🤦 Jesus. Totally not for me

I am here only for the second couple coz I find the main couple super boring but they hardly give them any scenes. But every scene they are in is just chef's kiss for me. The tension & gradual build up of mutual feelings is so good.

You are totally right, she definitely does have something to do but the issue is the romance line of her with that younger guy is so cringe & forced that I can't even bother to watch their scenes for the plot. So them taking up so much time in a short drama is so off putting :/

The inconsistency in these short dramas kills me so much.. Like the ML deliberately pushes her away when she came to him asking him to revenge for her in the name of protecting her. But now when she takes matters on her own by getting closer to another guy, he is pestering her non stop to win her back to the extent of forcing himself on her in her engagement night🤦 (I know she likes him and all but it gives super ick when someone forces stuff). Lol, they quickly turned him into a very unlikeable ML.

Issue is these short dramas always tread on a thin line to make their MLs look explosive at a short span as there is no enough to time to build the character. So they rely on these stupid cliched gimmicks like veiled aggression towards the FL as a means to make the ML character look badass (at which they fail miserably coz we are in big 2024 already).

Sigh. Anyway, can't be bothered much by these short dramas anyway but just had to vent out the built up annoyance xD

But the main leads have some insane aura that keeps you hooked no matter what especially the ML. It's surprising he hasn't landed a big project yet.

I think there is a need to educate some of the MDL users here coz many of these comments & their brazen ignorance seems to stem from lack of understanding how the streaming works in S.Korea.

tvN - Channel(TV)
TVING - OTT platform

Any shows that are meant to premier in tvN is meant to have strict censorship guidelines which even if rated as mature will still have no nudity, extreme gore etc. They have to abide by the strict rules as per the law of the country.

As for the TVING - just like Netflix, they are an OTT platform in S.Korea. They have the same levels of freedom like Netflix. They don't have to adhere to any censorship guidelines like tvN.

Now a lot of you seem to be confusing between the two( tvN & TVING). 'Queen Woo' always was for TVING as an OTT only product & not tvN . It clearly mentioned it premiers & airs only on TVING since the show's MDL page was created. Many popular shows in S.Korea have been aired on both tvN & TVING which means they are meant for both TV & OTT consumption which is why they will have the same guidelines on censorship as tvN even if it's also available on TVING . That's the important piece of info yall fail to grasp.

LTNS (2024) show is a good example here. It was an adult themed show , rated R & was exclusively meant only for TVING just like Queen Woo. That show wouldn't have passed through TV censorship to be aired on tvN.

So no one 'FOOLED' you into watching this as some of you falsely insinuate in the comment section here & express ignorance. It's your own lack of research that makes you feel that rather unfortunately. Cheers.

Well, you are factually incorrect already. It wasn't a regular tv drama at all. It never was one. It was always for OTT. Always advertised as one. TVING is literally the OTT service provider for S.Korea. It was always available in MDL where it's gonna premiere. A 2 minutes research would have told you that.
It was never once mentioned anywhere it was for TV. So I wonder from where did you assume that it was your regular tv kdrama. Your lack of research & incorrectly assuming something is not their fault?
