Yep, exact same feels. Even last ep was somewhat manageable but today was a complete snoozefest for me

I know the hardcore main cast fans are gonna lap this up no matter what as is the case with many popular shows but boy from a neutral standpoint of mine, it turned so boring real quick for me. The first episode was really promising & made me look forward so much. 2nd & 3rd episodes just fell flat so bad. The dialogues & pacing were soul-sappingly dull & very subpar. Esp. today's episode was an unbearable slogfest. It’s a shame coz it’s an amazing cast as main leads & not often we get such compatible great actors together for a project. So, I would be lying here if I say I am not disappointed.

The other person here made it worse with all the illogical comparisons with western cultures etc. So I can't help but to be serious.

I replied to a comment that’s clearly glorifying an underlying regressive parental issue in a specific country. No way it was harmless but a very pathetic glorification of a regressively rooted cultristic issue. You have been brought up all your life with the idea that westerners are kicking out the kids when they turn 18 when in reality, the kids are never kicked out. Btw you have no clue how so many western kids still live with their parents even after turning 18. I am saying this as someone who is also from India & having lived 10 years in Europe. Wow, they have done it so much better in the novel. This would have been excellent if they had kept in the show. Sigh

Can you spoil it for me how it was done in novel?

9.5/10 for me coz it's very rare to see a mature toxic less relationship from main couple throughout an entire show. I reduced 0.5 just coz they added that incredibly annoying cliche plot where a jerk suddenly gets obsessed over the FL and misbehaves with her & ML saves the day by punching him. The exact same scene we already saw in 'Love Is Sweet' 😂. I wish they showed it in a way FL defended herself without being a damsel in distress coz why would you need a man to save you against someone misbehaving to you in broad daylight. Naturally you would have slapped the s**t out of him. I know it's added for viewing pleasure but dang, let's move on from these artificial forced heroism from male leads. lol

Nevertheless a solid watch imo. The second couple were just as interesting as the main couple or maybe they were even better than main leads. They could have reduced episodes by cutting off the FL friend's love arc.

His acting is truly awful for me as well. He just has a pretty face. Acting wise really poor in the 4 episodes I saw.

Thank you for the detail. For sure the second amnesia sounds way more interesting than the current naive amnesia one which I honestly found it very boring in the first 4 episodes. With you confirming that it’s a long drawn out one, I would rather wait for more episodes to drop xD

I just told you. Strict rules. Only 40 episodes allowed or else have to do it in two parts.

They can’t make more than 40 episodes. They have strict rules. So they always try to fit everything in this 40. That additional 40.5 was just a small glimpse & not an actual episode.

Imo it isn’t that open because in the novel he does return to her in the end. So, seeing how they stayed true to the novel for most parts, I would assume the intention was HE just like in the novel. So I loved that ending

Solid proof of what? The articles literally prove they got into issues for long episodes & how they had to edit out so many scenes. And the novel is literally another ‘solid’ proof for how it was a HE for the couple.

That WAS the problem. They literally reedited again due to this very issue. There's articles out there regarding this. Look it up yourself. The episodes were supposed to be even more longer. It's okay to believe in your theories & it's okay if you don't wanna accept it but please don't post them as facts. It's not good.

You have no factual info to suggest it was a sad ending originally. You are just concluding based on some cut footage & forum discussions which is very absurd.

And with Ep40, For non novel readers, the ending may be open to interpretation. But for novel readers, it was a clear HE with ep 40 coz it happens exactly the same way in the novel with him returning back to her.
