Only 16 episodes in but this is already in the top 5 for this year for me. The acting, direction, writing, cgi are all that good 👏

Omg tell me about it. He oozes charisma like no one else. Best part is, he is cold but never mean or rude. That’s a great difference which he is emoting brilliantly.

The story telling and direction is chef’s kiss besides the overflowing chemistry for main leads. Other writers & directors can actually take some notes on how to write a cold male lead. It’s just perfect. He doesn’t overpower her or interferes in her business unnecessarily, watches her do her thing from afar & feeling proud of her capabilities, helps & protects her when needed etc. All these while maintaining the cold look and manners stunningly (ML is a terrific actor tailor made for this role imo). This is how I expect a cold male lead to be. Not the usual toxic ones we see who are mean & rude to the FL just for the sake of it. Beautiful writing. Just too good

P.S: I understood from novel readers that they have watered down the ML in drama. Imo, this is absolutely what was needed for this drama. This right blend of coldness to others & puppy eyes for his woman.

I just kind of correlated with potential candidates in the show and thought she would be the ideal one. There aren't any other potential matches I could think of. I asked the question coz I cannot stand morally corrupt characters get any happy ending however they try to make them redeem themselves. lol

Does shen yurong get a happy ending with jiu yue in the end? That means he redeems himself some way? Coz no way I can expect his character redemption after literally trying to murder his wife irrespective of being forced to do it or not.

Maybe it’s just me but I do think lee jun ho character comes across as very desperate and pushy (even after ep8). Like he doesn’t even give the FL enough time and space to sort her feelings by herself. Like even if she is inside the bathroom, he couldn't wait & comes knocking.. 🤦 He just kept throwing himself at her desperately (heck, he even tried to kiss her when she was clearly drunk which gave me the ick so bad) till she eventually succumbed. It was a complete turn off for me. so, I couldn’t enjoy the intimate scenes as much.

I would have liked him handling it maturely considering he is supposed to be a responsible adult now who has matured from a school boy who simply had a crush on his teacher. Maybe those who watch it mainly for the romance to kickoff might be able see past this but I certainly couldn’t especially after he tried to kiss a clearly drunk woman. It felt like he indirectly forced her into a relationship.

P.S: Without the weight of any of the plot, I do like WJH & JRW separately here. Especially JRW acting is very natural. She is the one that still keeps it going for me.

did you see ep7,8?? She indeed had doubts that he was the neighbor but it was swiftly clarified. She found out ML is the one in ep8. Perks of having just 16 episodes. No unnecessary dragging on

Totally agreed & my point pretty much aligns with the same. That's why I said it will take a lot of convincing from writer to show her falling out of love from current relationship & also to start falling for someone else esp. when her current bf isn't problematic/toxic unlike how the trope is usually done. Nevertheless, it's still a cliched trope here about having a love , that not working out for many reasons & ML becoming the prince charming savior.

cool, then I guess the actual romance maybe towards the fag end (maybe around 30th episode) which in case will be enough time to move on for FL I would assume. Like I said, I just want her new love to be done convincingly & not rushed upon coz they made her current bf seem a good guy so it wouldn't be believable if she falls out of love with him quickly
