But I think they (at least the scriptwriter) know better not to do OE/BE for this drama because there is really no "logical" way to make it happen. It is not xianxia/fantasy so they can't pull a fast one on us. The type of relationship they have shouldn't cause any misunderstandings that can lead to someone's death either.

The center of this drama at the end of the day is about solving cases so having to create an OE/BE would take too much work/build up when they won't have enough time with the episodes they have when they need to focus on the cases. So here is hoping they just stick with the good aspects of the novel and don't add anything not needed. 🙏

I think they will keep the characters and their relationship like that. The kiss scenes/romance scenes from the MVs pretty much match their novel relationship. The Douyin preview clips show us their characters a bit too and they seem to fit the novel character set up.

Li Landi was reading forensic/medical books while she was filming this drama and the cast confirmed she has long/complicated dialogues, so I am pretty sure they will be shown during the case-breaking scenes.

Yes, the novel focused more on the mystery/case-solving (the ML doesn't even show up until over 100+ chapters if I remember correctly) and the romance was more on the side (but they do kiss a lot LOL, it is just after kissing, they go straight back to work). The only main focus romance too was between the FL and ML, but it seems like the drama will expand that to other couples too.

Oh this is just info from the novel and there are more clips the fans managed to film during filming that showed them kissing that didn't show in the MV yet. 🤭

Some of the relationships are already pretty different compared to the novel just based on these preview clips. Yan Chi and Yue Ning are cousins/related but in the novel, they barely interacted so it seems like in the drama, they are expanding on their familial relationship. Yue Ning and Yan Li are related too aka cousins, but they have no love line with each other in the novel. 😅

I would say I am more of her drama fan. After watching "The Starry Love" back in 2023, I basically watched all her other dramas since then and she has absolutely impressed me in terms of her acting. I like the type of dramas and roles she had picked (I really like FL-centric dramas, and her female characters tend to have a lot of depth and isn't just a tool for romance), and I feel like she has a really good head on her shoulders based on her interviews. 😊
