Yes, people on C-platforms have said even with Douban, there is definitely a company behind with dropping in waves of 1 & 2 stars. From an unbiased POV, there is no way this drama in terms of production/plot logic/acting can even be 1-2 stars. Then you have the sudden shift of these accounts going for 3 stars as they are harder to get rid of so it is too calculative to not be a managed team doing this. There are people definitely threatened by this drama but in the long run, they can't bury this drama even with tactics like this.

Worth it! 😂 A lot of people purchased the express package too and so many got SVIP when they usually are okay with waiting for the episodes just with the VIP. Once you start watching this drama, it is really is hard to stop.

Not to act obsessed with this drama (but I am), I was rewatching episodes and the first kiss scene was sooooo well done. The nervousness, the consent, the sudden pause, the trembling eyes, etc. Like wow, this is peak acting.

Yup, a lot of people were upset too because they like LY too much. But they felt like that was the scriptwriter's intention with this pregnancy storyline because they didn't need this arc if they intended from the very beginning for it to be a happy one.

However, most people were able to comfort themselves in the sense that LY is someone with a good career, has money, supportive people in her life, and knows a divorce lawyer (LOL). So whatever decision she makes in the future, she will be okay. GY isn't someone she /needs/ compared to her love for SCC and for her future child.

Yes, Filter was pretty much right after LoN. It seems like though LoN was sad, she was more impacted by AFS. AFS was filmed back in February 2022 but it aired 2 years later in March 2024. The airing date coincided when she was still filming for Filter. Promoting for AFS brought back all those feelings for it so that's why she felt pulled back into her sad state even more. She and the cast went on a show too for AFS and had to reenact a scene and she had to take a pause because she couldn't stop the tears. 🥲

Yes! He seems great and so are most of his fans. He probably has one of the best fanbases for male/liuliang type actors in terms of keeping the peace + it definitely helps that he doesn't stay in idol type drama so his fanbase is more diverse and doesn't tend to fall into the traphole of fighting everyone and everything in the name of their fav.

Same! I just need the teams behind this drama + iQiyi to back off and just focus on producing a good drama with a well developed plotline. Nothing is more important than a drama being /good/.

Now I am reminded even on the C-platforms, some people were trying to find ways to anti this drama via plot points so a silly one was how it was animal abuse because during the confession scene, the bird nest (without anything in it) fell off of the tree leading to the hug. 😭 There are other things they can poke holes at instead so the bird nest one was just so silly.

Yes haha, TQ is "marriage first before sex and/or children" type of man. He would never have sex with SCC before marriage. He was also holding himself back a lot during their kisses in order to make sure they don't get to the final base.

It was also why back during SM arc, he was shook at thinking they might have done the deed and that was also part of the reason why he was so persistent with SM.

Yup, LLD's fans are trying to keep their first billing which is based on the contract so they didn't do anything wrong IMO. This move by iQiyi was disrespectful on purpose and there is no arguing about it because this drama has other posters they could have used to show both clearly.

ARP's fans then feel miffed and was trying to say ARP is more popular so it makes sense (which is not even true especially when LLD has been in this industry for 15 years already, LLD's character name for this drama always had more % on datawin + being more popular =/= taking over first billing when it comes to promo especially when the drama hasn't even aired yet to be doing this).

Lol yes, they are essentially excluding Filter from the other modern dramas ranking. It is probably their way to not have fans of the other dramas jump them or have arguments of how Filter is "different" or has "advantages" in terms of discussions due to the sci-fi elements. Or it could also be to not offend investors of the other dramas. It is a lot of industry politics so people are cracking jokes over this because the difference in treatment is very obvious.

TJC and LLD are a riot. I watched some clips of LLD's livestream from today (don't have time yet to watch the entire thing) and LLD has mentioned "Angels Fall Sometimes" being a really tough drama for her (that she couldn't "exit" from that drama for a long time) so she was pretty affected for awhile. She has mentioned that filming "Filter" really cheered her up and got her back to how she was previously.

During "Filter" filming, AFS aired and she had to promote it here and there which dragged her back to being in that sad state again. She mentioned on the day AFS wrapped and she posted the goodbye letter for her character (which she is already sad about), she was also thinking about how TQ/SCC went through so much so all the feelings got to her and she was feeling extra vunerable that day. She said usually people would comfort someone in that state by making them smile/laugh but TJC's way of comforting her was trying to tease her into crying (I guess he was trying to encourage her to let it out by crying). 😂

It is interesting because there are many different interpretations of the 2nd leads' relationships. A lot of people are taking LY being pregnant as "breaking" the filter the viewers had on GY. GY seemingly respected LY and agreed to date without a goal. But at the end (with the pregnancy), he still wants to marry LY (while LY is against marriage even at the end).

In addition, the whole set-up with the turtles has been LY having bad luck when she is around GY while GY has good luck. So it seems like a warning for the female audience not to date someone who is bad luck/sucks your luck and that there are signs from the very beginning.

SCC/TQ are meant to be the ideal relationship and you feel happy for them. But LY/GY is more of a "reality" based relationship and the audience has a variety of different emotions about them at the end based on their own POVs. Some people think GY is a good man, some think he is too cunning, etc.

No idea since I didn't check (I only saw this since I was scrolling through the Douban group). I think Filter tends to be pretty high/top this chart since it is based on discussion.

For sure, this drama should be at least 7.8 if the rating was /fair/ and without these anti-groups coming in waves. I hope they lock the Douban score soon since it doesn't seem like these anti-groups are giving it up until they can drop this drama to around 6 (which would be hard to do but $ can do anything).

Yup, plus from her POV, she was doing this to uplift her own career especially after seeing SCC seemingly being favored (even if it wasn't a moral move).

I am cracking up. Filter was topping the Datawin chart so much that they ended up making a separate ranking list with only Filter as #1 on "Fantasy Drama" category and excluded it from the ranking with the other modern dramas that aired around the same time. Because if they included "Filter" on that ranking, it actually topped over the other 3 modern romance dramas. 😂😭😂

Ahhhhhh they are so cute. Also, SQL is a whole tsundere. I am reminded of one of the scenes toward the final episodes where both her and LY were worried about SCC and picked up their phones at the same time to try to contact her. SQL was like I am just checking the time while LY said I want to check up on SCC! 😂

I will check it out when it airs. I usually don't like ML-centric dramas due to a variety of reasons, but I will check it out for sure!
