I disagree, but I loved the characters and found the themes engaging. What exactly would you like Tang Qi to do…
It is funny because someone asked this question on the XHS and all the comments are like yeah, no one wants to see another FL being "tortured" again (especially because in the beginning, SCC already went through things). They actually enjoyed that it was the ML "suffering" and said if this drama has gone with that trope of dragging that out, it would have become a typical idol drama and people would have dropped it then. From their POV, women already suffer enough irl and they don't really care to see it in a drama either unless it is FL getting revenge. The selling point of this drama is that it /doesn't/ follow the typical trope, and it won't even fit TQ's character. At the end of the day, it is just the viewers' projecting on what they want these characters to do without even understanding the characters.
His glasses match with his mood and they color match with SCC's outfits when they start dating LOL. Round glasses?…
Yup! And during the broom scene, the sneakers he got for SCC actually matched with his tie. TQ seems to be very detail orientated and likes to have matching patterns/colors with SCC.
And why nobody talked about ML wearing a different pair of glasses in each scene? He had like 10 diffรฉrents glasses…

Round glasses? He is feeling neutral/positive. Angular glasses? Shit is about to go down.
He also has so many outfits. ๐ TJC's official account (or the drama official I forgot) posted his outfits for this drama before and it was a lot (they are similar in colors, but all the pieces are different). TQ is lowkey a fashionista!
This is the first time I've watched LLD in a drama and i actually don't find her very goodlooking in Filter. In…
Yeah, she is not a "sexy mature beauty" especially when she is still so young. She is someone the C-side can see becoming a ๅคง่ฑ in the way she carries herself. A lot of the popular current actresses are too "influencer-like" due to their make-up/way they dress/way they bring that into their own acting, so it makes them seem like online celebrities than the actresses from decades ago where there is almost this gracefulness and mystique appeal to them.
Her role as Li Mujia in "All the Way to the Sun" where she played the character from their early 20s to their 30s really showcased the way she can "mature" herself with just acting alone (and I think the way that drama filmed her really brought out her beauty and the power of acting which can make an actor/actress so much more attractive). It is also why people have high hopes for her in terms of being a "proper actress".
Yes, people on C-platforms have said even with Douban, there is definitely a company behind with dropping in waves…
Tbh at long as the current Weibo exists, the current fandom state probably won't change. Though it was said they would lay down rules to change fandom culture, it really didn't happen since they still want fans fighting since it generates money. ๐ฅฒ And lol, not surprised, those fans are always fighting.

They "downgrade" her looks in this drama so I think for first time viewer, it shouldn't really be a problem. I think a lot of people making the comments about this (even on the C-side) is because we all know how LLD usually look like. Also, I am personally neutral about Bai Lu's looks and in China, she is considered one of the "top 4 plain actresses" (though a lot of people also argue she shouldn't be put together with the other three because she "looks better than them") so again, everyone has different perception of beauty.
LLD is considered to have beautiful face especially on the C-side because she has what we call a perfect ไบๅฎ. SCC is honestly not a hard role for her, nor does it have major explosive scenes. People have watched LLD's other dramas with tougher roles where her characters were required to have very emotional scenes, and her facial features doesn't break apart even when sobbing or arguing with another character (this is a problem with a lot of the current popular actresses when their facial features basically go out of control during those scenes and they "stop acting"). She is also very reminiscence of Chinese actresses from the 70s-80s and a natural face (never had plastic procedures) so her face is considered very beautiful over there.

Me neither. ๐ญ But now that I am thinking about it, it does make sense. ๐ Because if TQ really got to pee, they did show us a scene of SCC taking TQ to the bathroom but that scene left it off with him in bed still hugging her so it can't be urine (or else he did wet the bed). ๐

Everyone is always breaking "records" in C-industry. ๐ At this point, these number stats are so arbitrary so I just ignore them most of the time because these numbers doesn't mean a long-term career or how well your name is respected by the general public. The fans can have fun with these numbers but that's really it.

We all think TQ is too "innocent" LOL. And he is but he is still a grown man with needs at the end of the day (the way he was gripping that chair to not kiss SCC??? We know what he is!!!). ๐
Apparently a horny moment that flew over my head (and many people's heads):
In the later episode when SCC carried drunk!TQ home. He was hugging SCC in bed and mentioned needing to pee. I thought it was just supposed to be a funny moment (since it was an out of place comment). But people on C-platforms are saying it is TQ getting an erection from the hug but he was drunk so thought he had to pee and SCC didn't get it either. ๐ญ
I like this drama I am a fan of both the male lead and the female lead however, theyโre just one big hiccup…
Would the alpaca being cuter than the average alpaca help? ๐ญ The alpaca is mainly in just episode 8 so if you want, you can skip that episode. BUT I did suggest reading a summary of that episode because that episode was pretty important for the development of the main pair's relationship. I can also write a summary of that episode under spoiler for you if you want to skip that episode.
