So why was yan chi considered only legitimate heir to throne?? Wasnt Yan ze eligible too? This was after Yanche…
No, the emperor did say both Yan Chi and Yan Ze are eligible for the throne. They are just not his direct "sons". He was saying he has nephews and relatives that he can name as heir to the throne.
The laws at the end wrapped up all the cases so well that I have to post it, Qin Wan really did her thing:
"Anyone who kills due to emotional reasons, anyone who beats a cohabitant to death, whether married or not, shall have their punishment increased by one level. Anyone who deliberately kills a cohabitant, whether married or not, shall be sentenced to death with immediate execution" (Case 1 & Case 2).
"Anyone who molests a young girl, shall be exiled 3,000 miles to a remote/harsh province. Anyone who rapes a young girl shall be strangled" (Case 2 & Case 5).
"Anyone who, under the pretext of medical treatment, removes organs from a living person or caused injuries shall be strangled. Those who committed murder shall be beheaded immediately" (Case 3).
"Anyone who violates the law while resisting unjust harm shall receive reduced punishment based on circumstances, so the righteous will not suffer unjustly" (Case 2 & Case 4).
"Anyone who gathers crowds to promote evil occult practices or spreads rumors to deceive the public, shall, on minor offenses, be relocated for 3 years and detained for re-education until they understand proper principles (Case 7 & 8).
"Anyone who causes physical harm or injury to another person through beating shall be exiled 3,000 miles" (Case 3 & 4).
"Anyone who murders or rapes women or children shall be beheaded immediately" (Case 2 & 5).
Does anyone knows what happened with the Yan li's moter?
It is implied a good ending for her in the drama. Remember, she never once left the Yi residence and stayed hole up praying. But at the end, she turned towards the door and started walking to it aka she is finally free.
For those who don't have access to iQiyi to watch the detective variety show (around 1 hour) for this cast, here it is on Bilibili (but no English subs): https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1rC8gzZE6a/
My only question: is there a reason why Yan Chi and Qin Wan's wedding outfit is blue? Is it because its only simple…
Yup, it is still the mourning period so they can't wear entirely red nor consummate their marriage then. It is why Qin Wan held up the red veil to look through it with a red vision, because if the wedding went how it was supposed to go, the entire room/decor would be red. It was also why Yan Chi felt so bad about it.
Cnetz are describing this drama as "High Opening and Crazy Finish". 🤣 Fans of the traffic stars are PISSED and has been pumping out more and more black marketing for this drama on social media and even massively rating 1-star on Douban yesterday/today. BUT, this drama got all the stats to backed it up and viewers are very happy with the ending.
Right? All this time, he remained good, and even Qin Zhao Yu was not as bad as we thought she would be. It was…
Part of it was also because she wanted to preserve the actual Emperor's direct bloodline on the throne. She and the real Yan Huai were very in love; she played along because she wanted to make sure the throne goes back to its "rightful" owner. That was the only thing she felt she could do for her actual husband.
Funny enough, there were C-netz that dragged the actor playing the Emperor for being unfit because originally...
He looked unrefined, his posture was off, and he just didn't feel like a proper Emperor. Now it makes perfect sense because he was a fake who was never raised as a noble. He doesn't have the etiquettes that the real Emperor would have had.
A pretty much perfect ending to a series. I especially loved the end when the new laws established are reflective of the past cases and to make sure those similar types of cases will be properly handled and there won't need to be as many perpetrators that needed to exist out of simply revenge due to the corrupted system.
Edit: I checked on XHS and it seems like Prince Xin is the son of the previous Emperor and a concubine.
