Does the FL get better during the show? I watched part of the first episode but already in that scene in the classroom…
She does get better. I wasn't convinced with her in the beginning either, but she is smarter than she looks . She just doesn't have the same background as the other students. This is also not a romance so there is no reason for comparison with the ML.

Not available yet on EU Netflix. Any recommendations where I can watch this?
If you have the patience please wait until it's available on Netflix since in that way you can support everyone taking part in the making of the series.

Thank you for writing this! I haven't watched some of these series, but I definitely agree with some of them like Project S: Skate our souls (which is one of my favourite series) and Girl from nowhere. However I didn't enjoy some of these dramas like other people, even though I recognize that they have a very interesting concept like Until we meet again. If I made a list, I would definitely add The Gifted, I told sunset about you and After Dark.

I have a random question. Does anyone know if hair bleach was a thing in 1887? Enishi obviously has black hair…
Frankly I have no idea, but aren't the movies adapted from a manga? I mean that his hair could have magically changed, since he is a manga character, unless there is a story behind it that is not presented in the movie.

Title Beyond Evil Spoiler
Why do you believe it's harmful?
First of all, please cover this as a spoiler. I think it is crucial to look into a subject, taking into consideration the time that a specific incident is taking place. The Birth of a Nation is a 1915 silent movie. So did it "completely change public understanding of reality and racial ideas"? Not really. It just reinforced what was already there in a U.S. that was full of discriminations. Racism and this type of ideologies don't change from one minute to another and certainly they can't be shaped just from watching a movie. (if it changed that simply, then maybe George Floyd wouldn't have been killed, since in our times most people are fighting against discrimination, especially in the U.S.). However, in a society that is already full with racist people it can reinforce their ideas that they are better than others. Don't forget the civil rights movement of Martin Luther King that started in 1955 (40 years after than movie got released) or the death of Emmett Till the same year, or the history of slavery in the U.S. (many years before the release of this movie). A movie that justifies racism or any other type of discrimination in general wouldn't have any impact if the people who watched it weren't racists. If you watched a movie that portrayed that African-Americans are lesser human beings, would it change your ideas about them or would you judge it? I am sure you would judge it and the movie wouldn't change the ideologies you already have shaped about that matter. But if you already though that people with a different skin color are lesser human beings, then the movie would reinforce that perception of yours. So going back to this series, first of all the murderer doesn't have any kind of disability. Even if he had a disability, why should he be classified first and foremost as a person with a disability and not as a murderer? Disability or not, a murder is murder. What this series wanted to underline (and it is clearly explained in the last episode), is that people see and treat people with disabilities differently. If you know or have worked with people with disabilities you will see how other people (even their family sometimes), treat them differently. Besides that though, this is a series that came out in 2021. That being said, we are not living in an era were information is difficult to find, like in 1915 (that there wouldn't be this kind of information anyway, since only white people had the right to write 'history' back then). I am sure that every single person that has watched BE knows a little bit about disabilities, or has seen other movies/series that portray a person with a disability differently and they know that not all people with disabilities are murderers or bad people. If they don't know that, then they are living under a rock. If we just saw all people as people and not people with different sexuality, color, religion or having disabilities or not, then we would get to the core of this series and any other series that the religion, color, sexuality or anything else doesn't matter, because in the end murder is murder and it is a hideous act.

Exactly and it is actually pretty obvious from the 6th and 7th episode. Even if he was disabled, that doesn't make him a good person.

There will be only one episode each week.
Yes. It seems though that the episodes will be long. I hope this season doesn't disappoint.
