is 7.9 a justified rating for this show? ik it hasn't finished yet which will affect the ratings, just want to…
So far I would rate it a 7. I personally didn't like the first 3 episodes or so. They were boring and felt way too long. I feel like the series will actually start being more interesting in the 8th episode onwards (I hope at least). The plot is interesting, but like many other people said it doesn't feel like it is moving forward. I hope that changes though.
Even though the concept is interesting, there are too many characters and too many side stories that are not properly handled (the mutants, a serial killer, a cult, a shaman etc.). I personally feel no connection to the protagonists, that themselves feel like flat characters, even though they have their own story. The pacing is pretty bad. It feels draggy and it lacks the suspense that should be a priority in these kind of series. Even the fight scenes are not exciting. The dialogues lack substance and so far, there is plenty of easy writing here and there. I know I told you all the things that I don't like about the series, but if you are a fan of the genre in general and think of giving it a chance, you should try it. You may like it! This is only my opinion.
Anyone think there's something off after they changed the writer? I think the latest episodes are a bit boring
I felt like this was getting draggy and less good before they changed the writer and I agree that the last few episodes were pretty boring. However, I think it was because I personally enjoyed more the revenge stories and not the whole taxi driver gang getting revenge on Baek Sung Mi story that felt way too draggy. Hopefully the last 2 episodes are good, since I haven't watched them yet.
I'm on ep 14 rn but I don't even know if I want to finish this shit, besides the badass underground fight scene…
I agree. The show for me started getting bad halfway through. It is okay, but I was struggling to finish some of the eps. However there are only 2 episodes left. We can do this lol.
If you like this genre give it a chance! I personally liked it at first, but now it is way too messy. There are too many characters and too many side stories that aren't really handled well.
I don't care about lgbtq controversies, is this drama worth watching?
I have watched three episodes so far and I am not impressed. The trailer gave off an elegant vibe, but the series is far from it. It is quite underwhelming so far for a Makjang and even though there are many things going on, everything seems to be moving way too slow. However, many said that it picks up on the 4th episode, so if you like these kind of series in general you should give it a chance.
