Watched the first two eps and wanted to post my general thoughts about them. I know the writers changed, but that doesn't mean the show will be bad and it also doesn't mean I won't compare to S1. Friendly reminder this is my personal opinion!

On the bright side, the first two eps were watchable.
If you think S1 was far-fetched, this one is even more, at least judging from the first case. It felt a bit like they were trying too hard to fit Shen Yi's skills in the case comparing to S1.
I did appreciate the fact that the first case kept the "atmosphere" of the first season (the bleary line between good and bad).

At the same time, S2 feels quite different. First of all, this could be just my imagination, but Shen Yi (Tan Jian Ci) sounds different. Secondly, He Rong Yue was barely present in the first season. She was important, but was mostly a background character and a professional of a few words. This season, it feels like she is there all the time and it kind of feels out of the blue cause she was never this involved in the investigation in the first season. Lastly, there were like 2-3 scenes that looked censored. Characters spoke and we didn't see them talk or their lip movements were different comparing to what we were hearing. Again, it could be just me.

First two eps were not bad, but were also not that great. I didn't really expect S2 to be as good as S1, because second seasons rarely surpass the first ones, so the fact that the eps were watchable is a plus, but at the same time I would lie if I said I am 100% satisfied.
S2 does feel different comparing to S1. Like they kept some elements of S1 but also changed others and as a result some things feel a bit unusual and out-of-character-different.

It is highly anticipated so if it truly airs in 2025, I believe it will air simultaneously with other anticipated dramas (and the time of the year that they tend to air all of them). I will keep an eye out for your post!

Okay, I didn't want to spoil. Just want to share some thoughts and theories.

The woman didn't kill him as evident from the fact that he was in one of the hospital beds in the final episode. I believe that maybe both of them were in the same accident and the man was "between life and death" from the get go and the first time we saw him. Or maybe he was the one that did something to her and she ended up dead. I think their story is the most interesting so far, and I really want to find out what happened to them.

I am wondering about those things too. From what that man is saying I don't think only half-dead people can see the light shop and probably the entire alley. But it may also be a type of ghost town.

I feel that both the cook and the light shop owner are the same "species" and have the same eyes. They are probably able to see which people are not really alive and they try to somehow "catch" them or move them away from the world of the living.

I am wondering if the yellow wrappers are significant. I think maybe it was a way for the director to show that the girl is visiting the light shop way too frequently and to hint that she was never truly alive.

I hope so too, but taking into consideration it is highly anticipated and they decides to air it now, I don't think there will be huge problems!

I feel like they are gonna go the typical route and probably air about two eps a day (and also probably air like 2-4 on the first day), so you should definitely watch while it is airing. (plus that is a safe way to avoid spoilers)

I think they would accept douban. However, it takes a while to process the edits since the people that are in charge of them are not a lot and the edits that are being sent to them are hundreds if not thousands. If they don't accept it, they will message you the reason why your edit was denied.
