I am not good with ffs unfortunately, I'm also waiting for someone talented to right one 😭
I agree with everything that you wrote ❤️
P.S. I just read that the "I'm afraid" of YL was not scripted!
In a world where humans, demons and gods reside, one might expect good and evil to be clearly divided, but that is not the case.
Both humans and demons are prejudiced against one another. Humans see all demons as evil, and demons believe humans are fragile and incapable of truly understanding them.
Humanity, and subsequently mortality, is about the beauty of an ephemeral and mundane life; it’s about emotions and fragility. Demonhood, and consequently immortality, is about power and the inability to truly feel.
The thing about Fangs of Fortune is that it is not just about the beautiful, yet fantastical, world we see on our screens. It is also about the real world, the one we wake up to every morning. It’s about judging someone without truly knowing them. It’s about labelling someone as good or evil, simply because of a specific characteristic they have. It’s about being hated, even if you did nothing wrong; being hated because of something you couldn’t control. It’s about realizing that you cannot truly understand a situation, unless you have been there. And finally, it is about the fact that no matter who or what you are, no matter what you experience, no matter the hardships you have been through, in the end, what you become is your own choice.
All the characters in this series are proof that everyone is different, and that is the beauty of life, immortal or not. Not every person turns into a villain because of a tragic past, and not every individual becomes kind and considerate just because they lived a good life. It's all about choices, and we always have the power to choose, even in situations where everything seems like a dead end.

(cause if I don't promote myself who will? lol)
P.S. GJM better be ready for what is coming his way, cause he will be paying for my emotional damage.
It was a question I saw a lot in the comment section, so I had to mention it!
-> Do you all realize how important this scene is? For once, ZYZ doesn’t have to make the final big choice, he doesn’t have to kill himself with his own hands to take the burden from someone else. Someone is willing to suffer for lifetimes for him so he could go at peace. Even if you call this platonic, their bond is still more powerful than any of the bonds created in this series. They are truly soulmates and that is at least clearly stated...
Remember how I hated his annoying laugh? I want it back, now…
Again, it was a scene that lasted way longer than I would like. But it was also heartbreaking and despite having seen that one poster that basically “spoiled” his death, I still believed he would not die and especially not like that.
What broke me even more? ZYC seeing his dead body. A man that has killed with his sword, that has been through so much, he stepped back and looked away when he realized BJ was dead. That aside, the way he carried him on his back *sobbing
Plus, I NEED to talk about ZYC’s cloak. It was blue with golden feathers. When he was caring BJ on his back and he had the cloak on him, it looked like BJ had wings, something that made me think that he is truly dead and he flew away (that made me even more devastated)
Very well said. I agree with everything.
I am part of the international audience and I am not that familiar with the C-entertainment industry and the actors as probably many others are. But I do still find it sad that people fight for celebrities. After all, what is important, for me at least, is having a good final result and not wanting to punch the screen by how bad a series I was anticipating ended up being lol. If that means that some actors get less screentime and some more I'm fine with it.
You too! Let's hope the ending won't disappoint! *on my way to watch
Yeap, it is natural that Chinese don't care. I do care about the ratings there though, because of that reason lol
Even though I don't really take into consideration their ratings when it comes to watching or not watching something, I do care about how good a drama is doing there if I really like it, cause for me if it is well received there, that will probably lead to more collaborations with the same directors/actors in the future and with a similar budget.
I don't believe that any platform is reliable in terms of rating and that is why every platform should be seen separately depending on the way things are rated. Even iMDb which is one of the most popular rating platforms has its ups and downs. Yes, I get why that has happened with MDL.
"What I don't like on MDL is the growing culture of bullying others and shaming others on the forums for holding a minority view. Opinion sharing and putting out views whether good or bad. I have been told to sling my hook a few times for just forming an opinion."
-> Same thing happened to me on the comment section which is why I generally try to avoid it, unless I really like a series.
I got "attacked" here for saying that I don't mind all the actors having more or less the same amount of screentime in this series. People started pointing out that I am biased because I like TJR and that HMH and CDL deserve the most screentime, because they have worked hard and that should be how things should work since they are the mains. Mind you, that happened BEFORE the drama even aired, and everyone judged how much these two actors got unfair treatment from a three minute trailer.
That aside, MDL has also some pretty great people. Feeds are the best place in MDL. People there do not judge you when you say your opinion, even when you rant about a drama/actor. And even if they have an opposite opinion they are not disrespectful. That is why I am mostly using the feeds and not the comment sections (about forums, I don't know, it's been ages since I used one). It is even more evident, cause sometimes I tend to post the same thing on comment section and on the feeds and people have completely different reactions lol.
P.S. Even when I answered to your first post, I was prepared for the worst lol
Glad that wasn't the case and we are having a civil conversation.
