LL was smart because of what you mention. At the time BJ couldn't know LL was inside him and he told the truth to his friends about the needle making YC seem suspicious.
He didn't remember what he said to YC when he gave him the needle, cause LL was "controlling" him at the time.
The reason why they came to that conclusion was BJ's words about the needle, but they didn't question BJ at all besides thinking he may be Ao Yin.
I suppose they were shocked etc though.
But possessed at the time or not, I dont think YC had a reason to mention the needle to WX.
*BUT, I do still have doubts over the fact that ZYZ was seeing ZYC as LL. I found it weird and it was not really explained (at least from what I understood).
Of course I have favourites. Be it characters, movies, series, genres or whatever. But doesn't everyone? Does that mean that I am biased? Could be, partly. But, I am not completely blind to flaws.
And this is not even about the characters. It is about the scriptwriting. YL is is also one of my favs but deeply irritated me this episode. Why? Cause director could just make him unconscious instead of having him on the ground shouting names and having the camera show him every two seconds to remind us that he is there.
Like everyone, I also have an opinion on the show. If it is different than yours, it's okay and I'm glad you enjoyed these eps. I just stated my opinion on the matter and the things I disliked, like I have stated my opinion about the things I liked in the past. Is it heated? Probably, cause I wrote it after I watched the two eps and with my mind was flooded with info and emotions.
An opinion is just an opinion though, it will never change things in these type of things, but that doesn't make it less valid.
I don't understand why you are trying to pick a fight and I'm not gonna be rude with you for liking or disliking fictional characters or for having favs. As a viewer that loves this series, I just wrote what I thought in the comment section looking for a civil conversation with people. I did read different opinions and even though I disagree with some, I do value them cause they were written after careful though and were respectful.
Stating your different opinion is valid and I would 100% get if you disagreed, but being offensive about a fictional series is not the way to go at least not with me. I'm not gonna answer any further of your messages, but I do hope you enjoy the drama till the end.
I am not trying to pick a fight. This is my opinion and I totally get, it depends on the viewer. Everyone has different opinions and different likes and dislikes. I personally don't feel the romance and didn't from the get go, despite the mains having some moments nor do I feel it now. For me, it is like I have missed some eps of their bond developing and now I am suddenly seeing the FL making such a sacrifice to save ZYZ. It feels a bit sudden and out of place.
Do you mean MVs? I think the problem is general, not just with the leads. The MV and the trailer that was released had many scenes that were not "real" including every character and it generally gave off a completely different vibe comparing to the actual drama. Didn't mind the "fake" scenes, but I do think they should have hinted that the show would have many comedic elements.
I am not talking about the plot, but about the atmosphere. When in one moment you have poetic words, longing for 300 years, ZYZ thinking he is in a dream, romantic music in the background, slow motions, crying and romance and the previous and next moments we have people fighting to their deaths and bleeding, the atmosphere does drastically change. It is not a bad thing, but it was not handled correctly by the director and FOR ME it felt like a pretty "sudden" change to a point that it felt like I was watching two different series OR at least two scenes from different eps.
I don't understand the second sentence about the "excuse".
That is exactly my problem! The romance is not really there from the get go. Not just five eps. They barely had any actual ''bonding'' and "romantic" scenes together to excuse their overly in love selves now. That is why I found the scene too long. It felt a bit forced from my pov and especially in this situation. The scriptwriter/director could have used the last 20 eps to give them many moments, but he didn't and he thought it would be a good idea to do it now, when everyone's lives are in danger and by changing the atmosphere between fighting scenes and emotional scenes again and again. At points, it was like watching two entirely different dramas.
To be clear, I am not disagreeing, I just think that execution wise many things could have been handled much better to make the viewers feel more -especially- for the two mains and their relationship.
And it is not something that would take that long to begin with.
I agree. I wasn't that disappointed at that though. I actually feel something may have happened to Pei Si Jing since she also didn't appear in the last scene. BUT, I do feel the scene of her getting the bow from her brother could have been omitted.
Same.
Seeing the preview it feels like we will learn more about his true origin and self in the next episode(s).
That is why I said this would work better as a companionship drama. The main reason they all went after Ao Yin was to get the two females and especially WX -also ZYC's crush- out of the cell and clear her name. It was another part of the series that could have been handled otherwise! It should have happened as a scene, but it was a plot point that should not have lasted that long.
Plus, it was obvious it was ZYZ the moment their scene had started to happen. He would have no reason to pretend to be him and start talking poetically if it was the great demon -I doubt he could talk anyways-. It was obvious it was him. If it wasn't he would have just snapped her neck, since he was able to touch her. It was more of an "atmospheric scene" to make the romance work, but it could have been handled better or at least it could have lasted less time.
1. I get they guessed in hurry, but taking into consideration how many times they have been ''tricked'' by LL, they should have at least doubted their decision. Did I as a viewer suspect BJ? No. But I did doubt it being ZYC simply because of that scene with Wen Xiao. Yet no one really doubted the conclusion they came up with.
Logically, they could have suspected BJ, even BJ himself could have suspected that something else may have happened. After all, BJ did receive the core from LL and almost "died" because of it. PSJ was there when that happened. But they were all so focused on the scenario that the core must have gone to someone on the scene when LL died that they didn't really doubt it at all and went to save the day.
2. I am not talking about that scene. I totally get it. But before that happened, WX had an entire convo with ZYC. Honestly, that was the least of my problems. It was the fact that many such scenes happened in this episode.
3. Again, execution wise I was mad. Was it logical for them to have their moment? Yes, 100% But did it have to last that long, have all these slow motion scenes like they were the only ones in the world and knowing what could be happening outside? Imo, no. That scene lasted over 5 minutes (and with the flashback probably more). Another approach directing wise, would make the scene much better.
Honestly, didn't expect for his sword to be broken either lol
It was also so easily broken. He had so many fights in the past, yet it broke with a swing of LL's fingers. Glad though cause that means we will get to know more about his ancestor.
4. I agree. Mostly worried about her honestly. But, it was another scene where her receiving the bow from her brother could have been omitted. That way it would be more mysterious and it wouldn't "cut" the action halfway through.
5. I agree. Again, it's my personal problem as a choice. The scriptwriter could have just made him unconscious, instead of him popping up and shouting ZYC's name or giving advice once in a while and then having him run to his side when he had collapsed.
6. It was still idiotic as a scriptwriting choice though. Okay, they didn't surround him, but LL didn't really attack the ones that did approach him anyways. They had a long conversation like nothing happened.
* Sorry, answering both comments here.
* I was mostly irritated with the execution rather than the choices of the characters. I feel that if the scriptwriter/director had chosen a different approach, the scenes would be much more impactful and logical.
Friendly reminder this is MY OPINION!
Was the plot twist about LL great? Yes. Were the fight scenes individually amazing? Yes.
BUT, there were so many scenes that I just wanted to go and punch some characters -or the writer- cause it felt like they served no purpose rather than causing me anger.
1. Why would the FL think that ZYC is LL, when he did all those things for her the night before, EVEN when she was sleeping -so basically he could as well have not done them-?
Like it was so obvious he cared about her, how the hell could she not see that? LL would not go as far as showing that type of affection to her, if he had possessed ZYC.
2. I was super mad with how slow some things happened this episode! Wen Xiao told ZYC about the needle, fine! And then they had an entire conversation, while ZYZ all evil-demon-form was just standing there and THEN Wen Xiao “sealed” him and made him normal again and during that whole process he did nothing!
3. Wen Xiao and Zhao Yuan Zhou having their slow motion romantic moment, when THEIR FREAKING FRIENDS ARE DYING OUTSIDE! And okay, ZYZ may have not known, but Wen Xiao, girl...
4. Pei Si Jing having a moment with her brother. Where was she even after that? Why didn’t she go back to help? Is she even okay?
5. Ying Lei being female lead 2.0., cause he was just lying on the ground shouting ZYC’s name and doing nothing! I don’t care that he was dying, he is a f#cking mountain god and ZYC is supposedly mortal, yet he freaking fought till the end with all he had!
And then when ZYC was basically dead, he stood up and went next to him.
6. ZYZ and WX seeing ZYC basically dead, shouting his name and then going ahead and having a slow motion conversation with Li Lun when ZHUO YI CHEN COULD HAVE BEEN FREAKING DEAD!
For ME -emphasis on that- this would work 100% better as a friendship/bromance/sismance/companionship series instead of having romance that is not that well developed to begin with.
Preview looked pretty great though and I really want to see ZYC's ancestor!
