I have no idea about WX. In the mv there is a scene where she looks like a demon, but taking into consideration how the series progresses so far, maybe she was like that in a dream sequence or there is something like a shapeshifting demon or something like it (or it was simply an illusion).
Personally, even though the series is not objectivelly perfect, I love it. Production quality is phenomenal, probably one of the best to ever come out of Cdramaland, OST is great (even if it is a bit overused), acting is good enough and the characters are interesting.
Plot wise and atmosphere wise, I feel like the drama was wrongly advertised. It was promoted as a dark fantasy series, full of angst and depressing moments, and in reality it was also filled with comedic elements and a story different than most of us expected.
Even though there are some repetitive things happening, I do find the adventures and the complex emotions of the characters interesting to watch, since the show mostly deals with the theme of freedom/free will and the prejudices regarding good and evil. The plot is not too complex, but it is excecuted well enough and I feel that even though from the trailer I expected something different, it seems that the actual series is more character driven (mainly focusing on visual storytelling) than plot and romance driven.
Only actual "complain" I have is that sometimes the FL feels like a supporting character to her own show and it feels like she is there for censorship reasons. I don't mind, since I enjoy the (b)romance, but it could have been handled better so that her character would be more interesting to watch and less frustrating. Even though I am not fan of the genre in general, this feels different for some reason and I enjoy it, but if you feel like pressuring yourself, it would be much better to not bother. After all, the series is only half way through.
Honestly, there are some scenes that just "scream" BL especially when it comes to specific characters. Unfortunately, though, FL feels like a decoration cause of that. It's like she is there for censorship reasons. Her interactions with PSJ are more "romantic" than with anyone else imo.
