First time you said please to me...so maybe I will give your rec some thought 🤭
Queen (2013) with Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao
WHAT??
Wait, *Unnatural* and *Miu* are connected? Lol, I had no clue! I never look stuff up before watching, I just go by posters and actors - one bad habit of mine because I waste a lot of time on dumb dramas
Ishihara Satomi is my absolute favorite, I don’t know what it is, but she has this aura that makes me root for her every time, sooooo I end up watching all her projects.
So yeah, I’m really into academic C-dramas. It’s crazy how tough school is in China, but the students still crush it—super inspiring, fr.
I also love Indian movies, and *Queen* is hands down my fave! You gotta check it out dudeeee, it’s so good.
And MIU 404? That bromance is on another level. Feels like we’ve got pretty similar taste!
It now feels like a cheap drama that have no sense of editing because the flow is very bad fr.
So much happens, but it leads to absolutely nothing. It’s like they’re holding onto the mystery for dear life because that’s all they have. Instead of resolving it, they just keep dragging it out, revealing bits and pieces without ever going all the way.
And then there’s the preview for episode 6—it already looks like nothing significant will happen there either. I was so hyped for the truck scene, and what did we get? Nothing. Like, seriously, what’s even the point?
I was all ready to dive into your list, but you haven’t updated it yet— :(
I guess that’s why you’re here in a J-drama list, though, because they really do have the best storytelling ✨️
That said, I’m in a bit of a J-drama slump lately… haven’t been watching much of them. What about you? What are you watching right now?
Hope you end up liking some from my list! What kind of dramas do you watch, btw?
I was so focused on Tanaka and her dynamics that I didn’t really get the main love story.
But your explanation was so good! You should definitely start writing reviews for lost souls like us hahaha ✨️✨️✨️
My girl was one good daughter 🥺❤️✨️
Perhaps it’s because Cui Shijiu, for all her flaws, wasn’t inherently cruel. She didn’t harm others without reason and was genuinely kind to those loyal to her. Her only fault was being on the wrong side.
ML was also very cruel at the beginning. He treated FL badly, like when he tied her to the boat. We start to like him because of his tragic past, but it’s hard to see if he truly redeemed himself. His main change seems to be just falling in love with FL, which doesn’t feel like enough to make up for his earlier actions.
Cui Shiju, on the other hand, suffered for her mistakes, and her character development was one of the best parts of the story.
As for Lusi, she absolutely nailed the aesthetics, but something felt missing. It seemed like they gave her too much to handle, to the point where nothing really stood out anymore. Regarding the ending, I honestly have no strong opinions. I wanted their business to stabilize and surpass the benchmarks set by men. However, the idea of glorifying pain to make it meaningful doesn’t sit right with me anymore. Perhaps the writer’s intention was to show all the women uniting without any interference from men, it that's the case - well done lol
