Starting to re-read the novel...

I was blocked too, and could care less.
Sometimes I feel MDL should add a Section called 'MDL vocabulary':)
I don't use many pages on mdl, but from what I have seen, the word "toxic" always come from people with the most disturbing on-line social behaviour. This is quite ironic, because if there is a definition of toxic, that would be the behaviour of an anti-fan. And another word that should be included in the vocabulary is "logic". People thinking that freedom of expression only applies to them .
On another note, EVEN if we watched a film tomorrow, that would show a 'toxic relationship' (sorry, poor beautiful utsukushi kare:))), the idea would still be to analyse the film, and the relationship and understand the message. This kind of approach as to 'it is toxic, don't watch" is childish (the least). And the reason I am openly saying this, is because it's also disturbing. Whether on or off-line, labeling relationships because they aren't to your liking isn't ok and is a form of harassment (well, here's another word to include in the vocabulary:)). This is all that's wrong in any society. And this is the reason, why I am responding to the comments.

I recently watched 'Happy Together' from the famous director Wong Kar-wai (the film received many awards including a palme d'or). And here's what Wong Kar-Wai said about the film.

"In fact, I don't like people to see this film as a gay film. It's more like a story about human relationships and somehow the two characters involved are both men. Normally I hate movies with labels like 'gay film,’ 'art film' or 'commercial film.' There is only good film and bad film."

Your post is really passing the wrong message. That 'a film' is for these or those people. And it's quite stereotyped about 'bl' and 'bl fangirls'...

How dare the guy humiliate a girl, in Secret Garden, because he had money and she didn't? And she forgave and fell in love with him after that? Doesn't she have any moral integrity?

I was so naive till today. I watched romances, not understanding that they weren't teaching about love, but on the contrary, how unhealthy those characters were falling in love with the wrong people.

I forgot to tell that, in fact, to watch something healthy, we should ask everyone to watch squid game. Even though people kill each other ferociously in the drama, but at least they don't fall in love with each other displaying what toxic meant.. (Not speaking against squid game by the way).

There is one word that comes to my mind, when I read the word 'toxic' or 'unhealthy' on this page. ABSURD...

Don't they teach mathematics at school saying it's important for everyone? It comes handy even on mdl :)

This drama is so absolutely perfect that I am wondering as to why they made it into a drama and not a Film. May be they still will...

In fact, when we speak of reactions, we should consider ratings.
Whether in japan, china, or internationally (I should emphasize internationally), this drama is within highest rated japanese (ALL GENRES combined, not talking about BL). Even here on mdl, I don't know if you are watching other dramas, but this drama doesn't get more negativity than other dramas that are popular, high rated, etc. And even if it did, if it is rated 8.3 and another drama is rated 8.3 but doesn't get 'negativity' on the page, it still means, that the percentage of people who love or not love it is exactly the same.

I guess you think that if you say something aloud it'll become true?

Isn't this rated 8.3 on this page? So mathematically:), this drama is pretty loved, don't you think?

Now you are actually insulting everyone else by thinking that you understand what 'harassment' is while others don't.
Do you know how your post sounds. This is just an analogy. Like if someone would watch a comedy and ask why one person laughs at another.
And this is why, truth be told, I don't think it is even possible to be childish enough to think these absurdities.

Since you mentioned being vocal should be ok and I agree, I'll tell you one of my concerns in this world, including in social media.

It's when someone looks at something EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL, ROMANTIC, and makes it into something extremely vulgar.
Whatever the reason is behind that perception or may be just presentation, it is quite sad.

I read the first chapter and I liked the text and the feeling.

I was reading this extremely well written review, unfortunately not written in english. If I can, I'll translate some parts.

Here's one :
'“Thank you for saving me, thanks to you my days are peaceful.”
Neither during my first nor during my second watch, I didn't notice how deeply these Hira's words sank into Kiyoi's soul. Only on my fifth watch did I notice how attentively Kiyoi caught every sound'.

It's interesting because it was the same for me. I only noticed on my 4th or 5th waych, how 'intense' were kiyoi's reactions but shown in very subtle manner.

I should rewatch this soon:)
