Honestly, from what I remember my main issue with the first few episodes was the pacing. We were barely two eps in and the FL and ML were already showing signs of having a crush on each other especially the FL. The entire introduction and early episodes felt like a blur to me and the shift in their feelings wasn’t developed well enough. Everything moved far too quickly for my taste, which made it hard to savor.
As for the long drawn-out silent scenes, I agree they seem to be part of the directing style of this c-drama. And yes the fighting scenes and thai speaking scenes if I may add were a bit over the top, but honestly compared to the other issues I had to judge and overlook that felt pretty minor.

Umm so I finally finished this one! It was a decent watch overall but it definitely didn’t live up to the expectations I had before starting it...
The script, directing and especially the editing held this drama back from being truly good for me.

The first few episodes were hard to get through, though things did improve later especially once I adjusted my expectations and settled into the show.
One of the biggest issues was the editing, particularly in the middle portion of the drama. Scenes would abruptly cut to completely different moments that seemed to take place days later, with little to no explanation. This made the story feel disjointed, created noticeable plot holes and repeatedly broke the immersion for me.
On top of that, there were directing and logical issues throughout the drama some scenes simply made no sense and felt like they existed purely for emotional impact rather than storytelling consistency.

That said, the drama wasn’t without its charms. The chemistry between the leads was genuinely enjoyable, the overall theme had potential and the car racing scenes were one of the highlights! A big part of my fangirling came from the fact that the plot reminded me strongly of the Wattpad-style romance novels I used to read as a teen. Making it kind of a nostalgic watch.
Visually, Speed and Love was definitely a feast for the eyes and consistently delivered when it came to aesthetics, making it easy to keep watching.

When it comes to this cdrama my biggest surprise was definitely He Yu! This was my first time seeing him as a ML and both his performance and visuals stood out. I genuinely hope to see him in more lead roles in the future.

Would I recommend this drama? It really depends on what you’re looking for. If you want something visually appealing, chemistry-driven and very fangirl-oriented and you’re willing to overlook the problems it has, then it can be a fun watch. ^^

Okay eps 19-20 are definitely the most emotional and impactful ones of this show so far! They even made me tear up a bit! Hopefully, the 9 episodes left won’t disappoint either!

Sigh...I guess I will tough it out then and maybe fast-forward cause I rarely drop shows I watched that far ahead...Hopefully at least the ending eps make up for it cause I've seen many praise them plus I can't stop fangirling over He Yu! He is the best thing I was introduced to in this cdrama! Hopefully he gets more works soon ><

Honestly cnetz have always been more critical and hard to please so it's no surprise. Especially when this cdrama does have some issues with script/editing from my observations and the opening eps were also kinda hard to get into so maybe some dropped it early before it gets better...
Personally I find it a fun watch it reminds me of those Watpad novels I used to read lol Plus their chemi is great!
But yeah it's nothing groundbreaking of a show either so for some I guess expectations weren't met?

Personally I first saw him in Always Home and absolutely loved the drama and his role there!

Same here...The first 2-3 eps were a hard watch but it does get better espescially after adjusting your expectations and seeing it as a light watch plus the fangirling moments it includes.

Currently on ep 18 and aside from having some issues with the script overall the editing feels quite choppy rn too. The transitions between scenes are happening too quickly. Take this ep for example, one moment the characters are together at night on a date and then suddenly the next scene shows them in the morning in front of a hotel pool, without any indication if it's the same day or how they got there with Mu staying out the night. Then, we see the ML's friend getting kidnapped right after and Zhao chasing them...
I've noticed this choppy editing style has been occurring for a few episodes now. I hope it improves as the series progresses cause it really affects the immersion.
On a positive note though I love the chemistry between Zhao Mu and their scenes together. Their kiss scenes really gave me butterflies!

Really? I'm currently still on ep10 so I can't tell yet but the most kisses I think I've seen so far that made me blush were in When Destiny Brings the Demon >< Kinda curious to see how it goes here!

It definitely didn't have the best start for me and the script/acting felt a bit wonky for the first 2-3 eps, but now that I've reached ep 10 I can say I am enjoying it and can't help from fangirling! I also like the car racing scenes!

So umm I just started watching this show and after 2 eps I find the whole situation a bit off (although I did enjoy it from a fanservice perspective lol). So far from my understanding, the characters separated as children and even though they may not have viewed each other as blood-related siblings, they must have still had innocent feelings for one another back then right? So I don’t understand how the script jumped to them having crushes on eo so quickly, with her already having heart eyes for him 1 ep into the show... I wish their feelings could develop more gradually, allowing for more moments of questioning, yearning and a natural shift. This just felt too fast-paced even for a Wattpad-style story...Unless there are additional flashbacks or details about their past that still I’m missing and will be revealed later, but that seems unlikely, given the FL’s comment about not having seen him for many years so I doubt they met before now.
Also questioning the script aside even the acting of some of the characters felt wonky...But yeah for the teenage version of myself this show did make me giggle and kick my feet! It's really so Wattpad coded with a typical innocent sheltered girl x "bad boy" who is actually as soft as a marshmallow for his girl on the inside while playing it cool...I just since I'm grown now hoped for a bit more serious and well written script & acting...But oh well, it might get better later.

For Bell didn't we see her graduate college and was about to get her diploma? So she should be about 21-22! As for Claire she went to prison as a high schooler for killing the teacher and now it's been a few years since then so she should also be about same or maybe a bit older?

True that lmaoo Claire may be the Rapid Dog but it's Bell who really takes on that role when they get into bed haha
But honestly since Claire is a virgin and Bell definitely isn't, it makes sense for now. Claire is only taking baby steps but once she learns, I'm sure she will catch up and even surpass her teacher in no time ~ ><

If that's the case, he is indeed a true monster. Imagine leaving a bedridden person all alone like that...Honestly to me that's close to attemted murder.
Hopefully the next episode will provide more clarity on the situation.

However, Claire's protective nature and warm words could have stirred something inside Bell and we aren't even certain if she was straight maybe she is bi or somewhat open-minded already. As for Claire her sexuality was never mentioned and by the looks she was giving Bell I doubt she is straight to begin with lol And honestly from my perspective being in jail can make people feel very lonely so becoming intimate with someone else might be a way to cope even if you don't have strong feelings for the other yet.

Also in the pilot trailer, there's a similar scene where Bell goes up to Claire in the shower and kisses her while asking for her favor/protection. SoI believe that scene was meant to convey that sentiment.

No I think he stopped paying her because her dad was on his death bed already...I think after learning from the news about his daughter's situation that took a toll on him...At the time I commented this I was only midway through so I didn't watch his convo with her! And there we saw her asking him "why did you stop the caretaker?" And he replied "I am actually here today about that" meaning her dad was already in grave condition/dead hence why he stopped paying...
But yeah he is still an ASS!! He ruined her life and family all so that he can cover his own ass!! Filthy beast in human skin!!
